Boring and repetitive

u wot

as much as I'm loving the songs on this, the pacing is really off IMO. that 20 minute piece doesn't need to be 20 minutes. it's being billed as this beast if a 100 minute album but there's like 40 minutes of ambiance that is not really doing anything. at least for me. I can see my car playlist cutting all that out very soon.

maybe if it seemed a little more special I'd be more into it but it mostly falls flat for me so far.if they were shorter interludes it would feel like a big album but this just feels poorly edited to me right now.

almost every track aside from the drones are just insanely good. sick stuff.

Actually Fracking Fluid Injection to The Knife's discography is like Bucephalus Bouncing Ball to Aphex's discography.

Boring and repetitive, but interesting sounds.

You sure you have the right aphex track? You're not thinking of something off of Classics or something?

every time someone whines about the ambient wankery I enjoy it 1 unit of measure more

"Fracking Fluid Injection" sounds like Aphex Twin. I don't know the name of the song I'm thinking of, but it's clear from the start.

I believe you are thinking of "Cliffs" from SAW2. I thought the same thing, but more so the Alarm Will Sound rendition of it. I'm loving the album though. "Wrap Your Arms Around Me" is so hauntingly beautiful!

No, I'm referring to Bucephalus Bouncing Ball. You understood me wrong: I wasn't comparing the styles and the instrumentation of the songs (they're clearly too different), I was comparing their repetitive structure (one has hitting beats, and the other has hitting groans). In the end, for me, both songs could have been shorter and less monotonous.

raging lung may be my favorite track on here.

the bass has so much kick on this record, it is masterfully done.

fracking the frackerton or whatever is still wankery to me.

just loop that sentence for 19 minutes and 22 seconds while i shake a piece of sheet metal and i will agree with you homie.

yeah all the tracks in between are absolutely killer but this album has worse pacing than iradelphic.
