Exai bottom three

nodeszh, runrepik, and...i dunno. cloudline isn't doing much for me as a whole. it has moments, but ya know. still doesn't grab me.

bladelores, spl9, and deco loc were my least favorite...

tuinorizn, runrepik and deco Loc, though the latter is pretty fun, but just not too interesting.

if we have the right to assume that some tracks can suck a bit...

recks on sounds a bit "teeangerie"... of course you can say it's sarcastic and cynical, but anyways...

jateeve c is a bit oversteps-cheesy

cloudline and bladelores has a nice happy place islands, but can't yet say it justifies their length

deco Loc seems a bit unnecessary since recks on, which follows right after, shares more of the same hip hop feel (and has a better ending). Sure, the voice samples part is great, but I don't think it belongs on the album. As Awepittance said, that part sounds like a pastiche of a Flying Lotus track.

I won't stand for all this deco loc hate. It doesn't sound like flylo that much, maybe a tad. It definitely has that classic Autechre feel though, particularly through the fact that almost the entire beat is created by one teensy tiny little high pitched drum pop. The fact that this one sound can be used to craft any sort of beat is awesome.

I particulary enjoy deco loc though. I can think of lots of tracks I don't like quite as much. Not my favorite but far from my least fav.

i got more of a comical Art of Noise feel out of the vocal sample... i haven't listened to much flylo to know. the way they spread it into a melody 2 minutes in is excellent.

I didn't think it sounded like Flylo, I just didn't particularly like it. Maybe it is an issue of relativity: the rest of the album blew my face off..

Bladelores for me. Seems too long for what's going on, and there doesn't seem like there's much in it I can get my teeth into (in comparison to the other tracks.)

Bladelores is like a beautiful relaxing wind-down after the first disc. It's just such a relaxing and laid back song, and I'm glad it's a nice long one.

I like Bladelores fine but it sounds out of place in the larger, exai scheme of things. That's my main complaint so far. Also spl9 was a bit too rough with me last night.

So far there are only two tracks that aren't on someone's bottom three are prac-F and vekoS.

flep didn't do much for me either until i started following the super buried melody hidden underneath all the processing.

I prefer to listen to this album without thinking too much about which track is which so all of it is part of the journey

^ agree. and the way they flow makes it so easy to get lost

Funny, I don't particularly feel for prac-F. If I had to choose two other tracks, they'd probably be Flep and spl9. Exai is next level shit, these tracks feel just a little undercooked.

deco Loc is my fuckin jam

Flep was actually the first track to really grab me and standout from the great flow of this album. I loved it instantly. Still towards the end of my 1st listen though, we'll see.
