Exai cover is a crime

I think some of the squares should have been pressed out of the cover for a touchy-feely effect.

I'm disappointed in the lack of comments regarding the face I found in the album cover. Is there anyone else who can't help but see a face?

I saw the same face as you initially.

I just got the vinyl and oh my god is it ever sexy. Also I got 2 more stickers with it even though I ordered well past the release date. Suppose they just had extras laying around. In any event I now have one of each on my computer tower. I'm going to put one on my macbook pro when I get it this summer but that leaves one more sticker for me to do whatever with. Will have to think long and hard about this one.

It's a specific requirement for the mobile app dev course I'm starting in September. As much as I'd like to get a different lappy, one of the first things they show us how to do is dual boot to windows 7. So that's not all bad I suppose. Also they have awesome battery life.

someone told me they can read the cover, but won't tell me what it says....

maybe it's like an interference or difference pattern based on a "font" that's zoomed in so it's made of pixels? also i was thinking if you overlaid the other art from the inside it might show up?

I happen to think the exai cover fits the album well, may not be the best but it works just fine.

the cover text is actually quite simple. the l-event one is easier to read though.

Anyone else feel the Bleep10 album artwork is kind of a rip of Exai? I thought surely it was done by tDR at first but I guess it wasn't

I do a bit. Though when Oversteps hit there was a fuckload of LPs with the same simple circle concept, including a couple on Warp (Cosmogramma, A sufi and a killer). Just a tendency in an overly unified field. Remember triangles?

if the l-event cover works how it seems to, mind blown. i'm not even sure how do you make that in a graphics program?

honestly, i can perceive it to look like it says a lot of things, but i dunno if it's my brain making patterns out of everything and nothing.

anyway. there are a lot worse ways to spend time than listening to autechre and moving mirrors around on the covers. but if people can read them straight i must be missing out on something or overcomplicating it.

bought it again. i knew i was making a mistake getting the download only the first time. the packaging is great. it makes the 90's style jewel cases it sits with look stupid. there are two other covers, one for each thing holding the 2 cd's.

the main cover juxtaposes the smooth, intricate textures of the album while acknowledging the digital medium that made it possible. also, it being printed on that construction paper-like material gives it a funny 3d aspect.

Can it be read or cannot it doesn't matter, it's a cover, not a magic box. If it's some kind of a puzzle it only shows against its authors, of their arrogance which deserves to be ignored in that case.

I wish Exai cover was as psychedelic as the music is but it's quite the opposite.
