Come to America, act like a total douche, get a hot gf (wife? I forget), convince her to convert to Islam but then beat her, act like wiggers but then moan about how you just can't understand Americans, get on welfare but drive a Mercedes, etc. Even their late-adoption-anti-Americanism seems like more of a fashion-statement than something bone-deep. The just seem like total punks. And didn't the 9/11 hijackers go to Vegas not long before they crashed the planes? I just cannot understand the deep hypocrisy of these nutjobs. goDel
Imo, there's a bit of bad parenthood involved. Sounds like a stretch perhaps, but please bear with me. Interestingly those parents cried their kids were set up. Everyone could understand the initial denial, but in the end you have to face the fact that those bombs were detonated and those kids were in a firefight with the police. From what was told in the media, it's odd to have no " we feel for the losses of the families involved" response from their parents, but instead some conspiracy story signalling they and their kids carry no responsibility whatsoever. Comes off immensely narcissistic, imo. It explains quite a bit when you consider these kids were brought up by narcissistic parents. lumpenprol
@John/Awe: Nice site! I have a new theory, that these guys only decided to go through with their actions after they tried to get laid in the US but failed. Somewhere there's probably a hooker who called these guys "towelheads" or said their "manhood smells like hummus" and unwittingly set the stage for 9/11 and the Boston bombings: Quote 9/11 hijackers Hamza Alghamdi and Marwan Alshehhi make two purchases of “pornographic video and sex toys” from a Florida store. They spend $252.17 on videos and toys at Video Outlet in Deerfield Beach on July 4, then return on July 27 and spend another $183.22. [FEDERAL BUREAU OF INVESTIGATION, 10/2001, PP. 176, 178, 196, 198 ] These two and other hijackers are also reported to attend strip shows, watch porn, and use an escort service (see Before September 11, 2001 andSeptember 7-11, 2001). Quote In the days before the attacks, some of the hijackers (including Waleed Alshehri and/or Wail Alshehri) apparently sleep with prostitutes in Boston hotel rooms, or at least try to do so. LimpyLoo
Saying they're simply terrible human beings--while true IMO--doesn't answer the sorts of questions that I'm curious about. It's like a malfunctioning machine. We know that it has malfunctioned, but now we want to know why? Did someone drop it? Was it built incorrectly? I recently watched part of a Jeffrey Dahmer interview, and IMO it was pretty clear how be become how he was. As much as he was responsible for his actions, childhood stress and trauma pointed him in that direction. The interesting thing IMO is that all serial killers seem to have some crucial factors in common. Now of course we could debate Free Will til the end of time but the question remains why they were compelled (in whatever sense, on whatever level) to do this. awepittance
it would be interesting to see a criminal profiler breakdown of the mentality of a killer who has never killed before doing some kind of mass civilian attack while cameras are rolling. It seems to reflect a sort of more 'juvenile' criminal mind compared to someone like Jeffery Dahmer, who truly loved what he was doing more than the attention he eventually got for it. I guess I'm late to the party, have they released any hard evidence yet that proves they are guilty? Even something like an interview with the dude who has his SUV hijacked would suffice. No-one is trying to offset personal responsibility. it's just that 'they're terrible people' doesn't appease my curiosity about why this stuff happens in this world. Psychologically, neurologically, biochemically, sociologically, genetically, etc...there is a reason they are terrible people. I find it bizarre that people have paid so much attention to all this and now have lost any curiosity about the 'why?' underneath it, which IMO is the most important information to be gleamed from this whole ordeal. And as I said, just saying they're terrible people isn't useful in that regard.
