VHS Head - Persistence Of Vision

Just pressed play on this, I'm currently on Gas Human No.1. So far, so good. Though my head remains on my shoulders and my brain remains stable and unblown..........so far.....

I dunno, on first play this sounds like IDM for teenagers. Just seems a bit immature (in an irritating silly way). I just want to slap it round the back of the head and tell it to shut up. I'm just saying this is first play impressions, and most of my favorite music I never liked on first play. If I was 16 I'd pretty much love it a lot more. Just sounds a bit ridiculous imo.

omg*u*

This Album is incredible.

First listen and I was blown away by the end. Ths albums a trip. A very good, solid trip. Almost like, a dark geogaddi style trip, only it's in VHS world and instead of having Stop start style flow of other albums this was just a constantly growing beast. I think it was around Farewell Africa > Do You Understand > _lect_city that I started asking internally "you can do that with music??".

Maybe this was just am exceptionally high, solid first impression. But holy shit it was an incredible listen and I cannot fucking wait to get a holda this album on the records and spin the shit out of this for a good while yet !!! VHS Head nailed it.

Also, VHs, pls. Sean, rob. Pls. Extend the not yet official or remotely confirmed ae/VHS tour to Australia. And me and my buddies with see you all live and lose our shit and our blow rave whistles and buy you all beer and buy the concert tickets to make the tour financially beneficial maybe ? Thank you !

I keep listening to the previews on Skam because I don't have a credit card to buy this with right now. Camera Eyes is definitely my favorite so far, along with Farewell Africa and Don't Look in the Closet, but I can still only hear half of all the songs. I'm so annoyed right now.

that highpitched synth at the start of Jealousy reminds me of Laurel Halo's voice from Carcass (Quarantine)

Я твой слуга, Я твой работник

Purchased. This is the first of his releases that sounded solid enough to invest in. Also interested in hearing the exclusive cd-r from bleep.

Bought the album due to the bonus CD-R, and can't download yet on Blerp. So now I'm downloading the FLACs from "elsewhere" to tide me over. Forgot how stupid Bleep is. First world problems?

Also an Autechre + VHS Head tour would be just about the greatest thing ever.

From what I understand the download delays have more to do with Skam wanting them staggered in order to sell more of the physical copies first (?)

That makes no sense. People are purchasing the MP3s and are now able to listen to this music at least two days before people who preordered the physical copy. Fucking pissing me off at this point, because I don't want to listen to some shitty samples of the tracks first. I sent a polite email to bleep about it this morning and haven't heard fuck all yet.

And unless there are new tunes in the CD-R, I have no use for that, as I own every other official released VHS Head track, anyway. So I don't get all this shit at all.

there is definitely unheard stuff on the CD-R.

as for Blerp, this isn't their first fuck-up rodeo...
