Whole thing is a fuck up really because they announce one day before it's due on the shelves that there is a production problem. Who is manufacturing an album one day before release? That doesn't sound right at all.

dunno, probably the production problem occurred a while earlier and they tried to fix it in time? It's weird then that suddenly it gets pushed back a full several weeks, but I'm assuming whichever company is working on this also has other prior commitments, and has a schedule to keep.

This album may be big news for us, with "top priority" or whatever, but in the real commercial practical world I don't think this is more than just another job for any third party facilities involved.

(I don't know what exactly happened or who fucked what up, but I'm just inclined to be patient with VHS Head/Skam. Technical issues can be a real pain, especially when you're not THAT big a player in the music business that you can afford quick clean damage control.)

Better to wait for it a little while longer than to have them throw the vinyls out there, only to find out there's some kind of sound quality issue (which was the case with the first album, if I remember correctly).

Sorry to be a nit picker, but Skam never actually announced a specific day for release, just "May 2014" as evidenced by their twitter account.

Retailers have mentioned specific dates, Bleep stated the 9th, Norman Records stated 12th, etc. But always with a disclaimer stating that the dates were not set in stone due to being preorders.

As long as the album meets the new date, stated by Skam themselves, they're still releasing when promised.

Indeed, the first pressing of Trademark Ribbons of Gold had a pressing issue.

We can wait. It will be worth it. Also it's skam. There's always time issues

(this is the track I've been on about for a few years now, has an awesome 303 line in it)

Based on the samples, this album sounds more laid back than his other ones. Also, the three tracks on the promo were: Dead to Morrow, Red Ocean Apocalypse and Jealousy.

Album pre-order is available on Skam Records site right here

I would assume that since it's up for pre-order, any pressing issues/delays are resolved.

I live in hope!

seriously cannot wait for this one

Which have you ordered?

That's some will power. I'd have to order another format to go with it. No way I could wait that long.

I'll very likely buy digital veynils as soon as they're available. definitely can't wait

Bear in mind the British Government and their cunning plan to spoil the release schedule next week.

No postal deliveries. It's a bank holiday.
