I was gonna wait until the vinyl is in my hands, but then I realised that I may have already heard stuff from this album at a live show, so I listened anyway.

Damn good. Looking forward to it even more now.

nice!

this sounds like an airplane landing on a minefield

This song is sweet. For a second I thought it was playing from my iTunes and got really confused when the song paused on iTunes was Stinkfist by Tool.

Why is this not on skams website?

No idea, but the past few releases haven't been available for pre-order directly from them, we had to wait until the release date to order from the site if I remember correctly

Excuse my triple post - the guy seems to be releasing mini-snippets (1 sec) track by track. There were two little play symbols there this morning, now there's five.

Also he's confirmed via Facebook this image will be the cover art, but will be reversible with the back (lol?)

9 snippets available now. Waiting for dat 10th.. They all sound great though, even the chicken/breath loop.

Yeah that one ... it was playing through my headphones which were lying on top of my computer when I opened the browser. I thought something was wrong with the fan. I actually tilted the computer over and shook it (my personal method of making sure the fan is OK ... ) before I realized it was just that damn loop!

I like the art, i did wonder if it was Mike England as it reminded me of Bola - Gnayse

Hope the gate fold is really ultra gory =D

I'm a fan of the guy who does Bola's cover art, especially the CD print from Gnayse is good, Fyuti artwork also. I can see how it reminds you of the guy, there are some similarities (blurriness of some textures for example), but I gotta say the Gnayse cover is way way way superior. Also I think Mike England mostly works with 2D collages. Check out the video to Meam - The L , he was involved in that:

Haven't listened to the new VHS track yet. Saving it for later.

This track is just wonderful... I have to fight myself not to listen more but, as YELLOW said, one can listen to a preview track too many times and risk having it not flow as well with the full album.

seriously cannot wait for the album to be spinning on my turntable now.

this is the only way to feel atm

I finally got the PAL VHS tape into a format that I can watch. The songs are great! The second one is the track on the Soundcloud page. The first one is about 3 minutses long, and is reminiscent of Sundown. The last track is a really nice, mostly beatless track, unlike anything on his previous albums. I hope it is a sign of the rest of the album, because it's great.

The video that went along with the first two tracks is depraved! Lots of footage from shockumentaries (I know that that crystal skull was on the cover of one of the shockumentaries, but I can't remember which one for the life of me) mixed in with hardcore porn, with the famous vomit scene from City of the Living Dead thrown in for good measure. Wasn't expecting that! The person who did my video transfer must have gotten quite a shock!

The last track has a really nice video to along with it; I hope it gets uploaded at some point for everybody to see.

yeah, I'm really digging all three tracks. I didn't mention that the video is interesting in that it appears to be a video of a video - I think that he videotaped the music videos being played through his setup.

I wonder if BEEP will end up releasing the downloads early for the preorderers

I doubt it - Bleep only ever really do that for Warp Records artists.

and they can't even do that right, half of the time...

well, after much mulling over i switched my preorder from cd to vinyl, and i dont even have a turntable, heh

i like the cover, and i just really dig what the guy does and feel like i can relate to the whole aesthetic of making new things out of old obsolete relics, and his sound, when it clicks, is pretty rad, so it just felt right. i'll get a turntable eventually

now i can only lament not buying ceephax's cro magnox on vinyl, which i was on the fence about
