Lostprophets Lead Singer Admits Raping Children

How I've come to understand things: a strong focus on punishment rather than rehabilitation creates fear in a population which causes problems to be hidden rather than fixed. At best, you can get Singapore syndrome where people are stripped of freedom in order to maintain social order. Rehabilitation efforts, both in prison and in society, fix a problem at its roots by helping people instead of locking them up and hoping the problems will somehow cease.

In a perfect world, yes.

In the real world, no.

But in the real world you don't create good people with better punishments. I do think a lot of crime arises from poverty and desperation. I don't think choosing between prison world and capital punishment world is going to solve antisocial behavior.

I think Louie CK was onto something when he talked about making pedophilia less bad, because then we'd get our kids back. There has to be acceptance and real rehabilitation (not prison) at the early stages of acting out. Maybe give a shit about mental health, as a country. Maybe increase minimum wage enough that it's worth having an entry-level job.

Whatever the solution is, it's not more private prisons in Arizona full of weed offenders, and it's not more innocent black men being put to death in Texas. I don't know what it is, but it's not that.

I agree that's it's very dangerous to give the state the right to kill, and am therefore against the death penalty.

But I do think it's entirely reasonable for anyone convicted of pedophilia (actually molesting or raping a kid under the age of say...12? 13?) to have their block and tackle completely chopped off, regardless of whether or not they'll be spending the rest of their life in prison. Not sure if chemical castration works, but that should.

Having a dick is a privilege, not a right ;-)

After this I listened to geogaddi and I didn't like it, I was quite vomitting at some tracks, I realized they were too crazy for my ears, they took too much acid to play music I stupidly thought (cliché of psyché music) But I knew this album was a kind of big forest where I just wasn't able to go inside.

I was in US tjis summer, and eat in KFC. FUCK That's the worst thing i've ever eaten. The flesh simply doesn't cleave to the bones. Battery ferming. And then, foie gras is banned from NY state, because it's considered as ill-treat. IT'S NOT. KFC is tourist ill-treat. YOU POISONERS! Two hours after being to KFC, i stopped in a amsih little town barf all that KFC shit out. Nice work!

So i hope this woman is not like kfc chicken, otherwise she'll be pulled to pieces.

idk, it seems like this guy was more of a dedicated sadist and sociopath than a pedo. Even without his gear he might still be driven towards pleasure from causing others harm.

I've always wondered what to do about psychopaths. They're people too, but they really don't care about anyone else in any way. Psychopath pedophiles are crazy dangerous. Have there been any psychopaths who have been successfully trained to understand morality on a head level and operate on that?

In that regard, I've always found this video to be very eye-opening

tl;dw: if psychopathy comes from being abused, and you catch it fast enough, maybe it can be turned around in some cases

well shit nobody has tried flushing someones demons out with a timed interval DMT intravenous drip system for lets say 6 months to a year.

also it takes a long time for a human being to grow. there is no reason to waste a perfectly good human being. i'm certain its within the realm of possibility that a brain could be wiped clean and then teach them how to speak and walk again. i bet something amazing would happen to the world if all criminal adults were converted to innocent blanks with a fresh road ahead overnight. all death penalty cases should be put on hold until all that is sorted out.

you can't just discard functioning bodies! wtf!

the ONLY reason not to pursue this line of reasoning is a belief in a soul, that someones sins stay with them

I sorta don't believe in the idea of punishment. I believe in protecting society from dangerous people.

And I do believe in treating people like human beings and trying to show them that life is beautiful.

Let's tell this guy about butterflies and shit. He'll be a highly qualified babysitter in no time.

Let's cause him suffering because obviously that will make the world better.

Hrm, what about if his penis was replaced with a much smaller penis... one of such a size that it would pose no danger to an infants' delicate parts?

This is sort of my view on things. The death penalty could help the victims though. Also, it's actually pretty encouraging to read last words of people facing the death penalty, they're usually pretty accepting. This person was just put to death yesterday:

"I would like to tell the Canfield family I'm sorry; sorry for your loss. I wish I could take it back, but I can't. I hope this gives you closure. I did not murder your loved one, it was an accident. I didn't mean for it to happen. I take full responsibility.

To my family, we've talked earlier and you know I'm at peace. God is the ultimate judge, he knows what happened. We talked earlier. I love all of y'all. I'm ready Warden."

So actually, the death penalty seems better to me than being in prison for life, because facing death seems to inspire character growth, and if people really can't be trusted back in society then isn't living in a cell forever kind of worse? Maybe not though, idk, my views are definitely not solid about this.

Well there is no solution per se.

But I think the best we can do is try to maximize the sense of community and minimize apathy and alienation.

Someone should record quotes from this guy, put them through heavy distortion and play it backwards at both high speed and super slow speed and call it Lost Profits.

Question: wouldn't the sociopathic pedophiles actually have less of a choice in a sense? Like, they're quite literally born to be a child sex offender, seeing as they have no empathy. They might not care about this, but it's not exactly their choice. Like, if you have empathy you should be able to see why its wrong, but I feel it would be much harder to deduce this is you didn't.

Also, that old Louis C.K. bit is probably the funniest thing I've seen from him.

His 'Shit-Ass Pet-Fuckers' bit is utterly hysterical.

i think the worst thing about the death penalty is the masturbatory nature of watching someone slowly die over the course of minutes. why not just gas their cell with nitrous until they pass out and let a 10 ton metal thing fall on them flattening them instantly while they are fast asleep from nitrous. that why you don't corrupt a handful of peoples brains and the rest of society by legaly watching the life drain from a human being (on the death bed, every human being is the same human being)

That would cost more money since you would have to pay someone to clean up the mess. And if it were a self-cleaning chamber, you would still have to pay a lot of money for engineering, operating, and continually testing the device.

People like this are not worth the time it would take to try and "understand" them. Feed him to the lions or something and get it over with.
