To keep it real and analog, I'm gonna start posting to WATMM by writing my posts in fountain pen on hemp paper, putting them in bottles, and throwing them into the ocean.

Guest bitroast

damn man. I've never had any issues with blerp and normally happy to back them up.

But just recently a friend ordered some stuff (threw in a record for me to save shipping) and it never arrived.

I guess this sort of stuff happens so i'm not overly upset. And bleep are sending a second order down and aren't hard to deal with or anything :)

I can now safely say I've had ONE issue with bleep. and they handled it a-ok.

They handle it great, but it sounds to me like there are a ton of issues for them to "handle"... lots of damaged sleeves, etc....

Meh, they've been good to me. I prefer Norman (/NorthernFusion lol) Records though.

How the fuck is Bleep responsible for the state of your vinyl once it's spent 2 weeks in the postal system from England to Canada? Lol.

Man seriously I'm getting tired of the Blerp Bandwagon. C'mon most of you lads are switched on enough to know ordering vinyl is a bit of a gamble. It's delicate stuff, being thrown about and if it's sitting at the bottom of a load, you're in trouble. This is not Bleeps fault

They are responsible for packing it in a reasonably safe shipping container of some sort to ensure it gets to the customer safely, it's the law. It's called FOB destination: control/ownership of the item doesn't pass to the buyer until the undamaged item is received (unless the agreement/contract was to purchase a damaged vinyl, or there was a disclaimer that it might arrive to you damaged).

I've received stuff from planet.mu and norman records that are packed much differently. Bleep vinyl is packed in a flimsy cardboard sleeve with no support inside.

So in short, they're legally responsible. Sure, maybe it's royal mail that fucked it up. Then bleep is responsible to find a new carrier, or replace the items that are broken.

Which I am sure they will (replace I mean). I guess if this thing happens often it would be uneconomical for them to despatch things the way they do?

Yep! They e-mailed me back to say they will send me a new sleeve once I send them pictures of the damages.

SG just dropped a bomb on yo ass.

I'm not really good at arguments, sometimes I just speak how I feel, I wasn't expecting some verse from a lawyer lol.

I'd rather just read about the music, not everyone's individual gripe with Bleep. It's fucking boring.

It's all good, it's part of accounting (contractual law and all that noise), that's the only reason I know it.

I don't mind bleep terribly, I'm just surprised at the consistency with which I seem to get damaged product. They're actually quite good at resolving my issues (they've already sent me a new sleeve).

Anyways! You're right, back to the music! I haven't given this a proper listen through yet. Listened to it once but was so inebriated I don't fully remember it.

Going to give it a shot this weekend.
