godzilla was kind of mess, that's weird they hired that guy to do a new star wars. Did they also tap matt reeves the guy who made Rise of the planet of the apes? that would make a lot more sense to me since that movie was actually mostly watchable and ambitious, not just ambitious.

Billy Dee is not the man he was... I really hope if he does appear, it's just a nice cameo and nothing cheesy.

Harrison has been in a plane crash apparently. The man has not been lucky :-(

Yeah, but he's ok according to his son.

First Star Wars Spin-Off Officially Titled Rogue One

Straight from The Walt Disney Company Annual Meeting of Shareholders, Bob Iger has delivered a bombshell of an announcement revealing that the first upcoming “Star Wars” standalone film, set to be written by Chris Weitz and directed by Gareth Edwards, is officially titled Rogue One and will star Academy Award nominee Felicity Jones. It will begin shooting this summer in London and debut in theaters on December 16, 2016.

The idea for the story of Rogue One came from John Knoll, an Academy Award-winning visual effects supervisor and chief creative officer at Industrial Light & Magic. He will executive produce along with Simon Emanuel (The Dark Knight Rises, Fast & Furious 6) and Jason McGatlin (Tintin, War of the Worlds). Kathleen Kennedy and Tony To (“Band of Brothers,” “The Pacific”) are on board to produce and John Swartz (Star Wars: The Force Awakens) will co-produce.

In addition, Iger confirmed that Rian Johnson will write and direct Star Wars: Episode VIII and that it will open in theaters May 26, 2017 – forty years and a day after the release of Star Wars: A New Hope in 1977. Kathleen Kennedy and Ram Bergman will produce the film.

I don't mind this fast schedule. They may be shit, they may be not...but interesting names attached to these.

Star Wars The Digital Collection will be released April 10, all 6 movies in HD. Doesn't sound like there will be another physical release at this point.

They are never going to release the original trilogy as it was supposed to be, without Lucas awful additions, are they?

Disney owns the rights to every film except Episode IV, it's a slippery slope with Fox on that one.

Haven't they already done that? I have the old movies on DVD without any of the 1997 cgi

They did release them, but I was thinking of new HD versions.

I thought the DVD versions were letterboxed laserdisc transfers? So basically, heavily compressed video and Dolby 2.0 soundtrack... that's not good enough for me.

Some songs I made with my fingers and electronics. In the process of making some more. Hopefully.

Pfft - you don't think they're not going to reissue them (again) on Blu-Ray when Episode 7 comes to the home?

I'm sure they will, then we can add them to "the complete saga" lol

Disney will make damn sure this saga is never complete.
