just want to add this in here because she's so good and her style of speaking and presenting info is all info and no drama.. no hype no outrage etc... like preparation for facing things which i like. she's studied concentration camps and traveled all over the world where the authoritarian camps happened etc

I live in Kensington in Philly, right on the edge of where gentrification stops for this neighborhood, a few blocks from me was one of the main heroin hotspots this last summer. I talked to a young man outside of my apartment building who was traveling there from the suburbs the other day, asked me for a cigarette. He had relapsed to heroine the week before and was hoping to try and get clean again. Said that the synthetic opiods mixed with tranqualizer, that narcan does not work at all on this stuff. Very depressing. Do not see so many people suffering from heroin addiction outside now that it is cold outside, but in the warmer months they are everywhere doing that dope fiend lean. Sometimes you see them bent all the way over, but for some reason they still never fall down and lay on the ground. Something keeps them standing somehow, never understood that.

it's curious. i think it has something to do w/the autonomic part of the nervous system. if they laid down they might die. might send some signal to the brain to stop the respiratory system or shut the lungs down.. i have no idea though. probably a physician and pharmacologist together know the answer. but i think it's one of those things where if someone stays upright and moves a little they stay alive and staying alive means feeling the high??? but i've uh, heard of people being seated and super high on opioids w/their chin dropped to their chest for long periods of time and once in a while someone would go over and smack them in the face to bring them back a little bit like "you've gone too far to the other side.. come back" and that by itself brings their heart rate up enough to keep the body and brain and heart and lungs functioning. a thin line between really high and OD sometimes i guess. 

edit: also, some dude told the truth on TV. hmm. weird.

Happens every time. No one cares. They vote against everything they pretend to savor. Support the troops… then they vote against veterans benefits. Vote against public works projects in their home towns then when those things pass anyways they take credit for the success of those programs. It’s constant shameless behavior and they’re never held accountable for any of it because their voters do not pay attention or don’t care or are too stupid and disingenuous to tell themselves the truth and accept reality because it would mean they were wrong
