we can't let everything to luck. it basically means forfeiting real any chances we might have by organizing a political force that will balance things out. we are complicit by letting the future up for grabs hoping that someday a political jesus will appear and magically save this shitshow

people just believed one lie over another lie. not saying that the parties are the same or that trump isn't uniquely different and horrible but generally, dems are status quo at best. they give lip service to issues while doing a genocide.. same old america. but now we're def onto a new phase which to many signals the end of "normalcy" for real. we'll see what he actually does but predictions of insane grifting certainly seem true on day one or even before! so, now that he knows how far he can go, with the supreme court's help, he can really tear down the institutions by making them not function.. while giving out massive gifts to industry by not enforcing regulations and giving them big tax breaks. it's gonna be the unwinding of america for real. buckle up!

and netanyahu has said that trump told him the cease fire is only temporary and he will remove any limitations on use of US weapons. (there were limitations???) and the bombing will begin again. the people of gaza will be visited by even more horrors. i suspect the west bank as well.

These plebs are voting for Trump as an "outsider". They figure the govt status quo wasn't doing anything for them (and they were right); Trump and cronies built a fantastic story, e.g., "drain the swamp", so these people bought it, said fuck it, and cast their votes.

If you mean me, my vote was more against Trump than for anything.  I don't like establishment Dems but Rs are an order of magnitude more dangerous right now. Personally, I and I've said this here before, I feel primaries at all levels are much more important then general elections.  I try to learn as much as I can about primary candidates and encourage others to do the same.

One cabal of bourgeoisie felt hard-done-by because the ascendent Davos set had written the rules in its favour, so they've cooked up a revolution to put their own interests at the top. It's been brewing for decades across most of the world and they've pretty much pulled it off now.

The Davos crew had some crude semblance of decency and they had objective reality and science on their side somewhat, though they only ever really cared about those things when they helped them to make money and blatantly ignored them when they didn't (see climate change, inconvenient genocides)

First time around, I was pretty shocked that he became US President and felt pretty down about it.

This time around, i'm just like lol, I guess enough people thought he did an alright job that it warranted a sequel.

And when they throw more budget at a sequel and bring in an extended cast it very rarely lands.

So what im saying is, we are just entering the "Batman & Robin" era of American politics.
