I'm also old fashioned, I mean I love complexity and experiments and all, but what I usually want to find is ... something ... beautiful, maybe a melody, something to sing or whistle along. Something that tells me "the composer had an idea". After the years, I'm pretty immune against just sheer experimenting with not much musical (ideas) background. I want to be impressed by IDM artists who play instruments and studied counterpoint. Who have clues about what minor scale is. Something like this :-)

I bought the disc anyway, waiting for the digital would indeed have been in vain lol

Worth it though, listening to a full album stream and it's fantastic, no regrets here in helping the press machine.

What a fantastic grower, probably my fav 2015 release so far. It's a wonderful, futuristic, pop record.

I'm also a melody junky, and I don't think this LP lacks any. I bet it'd be more obvious if the sound-palette wasn't 99% cut-up, processed and layered vocals. Of course, YMMV, yada yada :)

This is pretty good, a nice mix between pop music accessibility and very academic digital signal processing. A very realized album that was obviously not made by an amateur.
