Austin...one of the best things I've seen. Cygnus you're a champion. The recording I have is still making my dick hard. The joint I was passing around was perfect for the endurance contest that was autechre. You all got well deserved slaps on the back. So good....fuck. Wish I had this shit every weekend.

Austin show was fun! Cygnus rulz. Autechre was very interesting.

Rob Hall - I've seen his DJ sets recommended a lot here. He's like the Grant Wilson-Claridge of SKAM. I don't think he's actually released anything but he's credited on Gescom's first EP

He has a very few producer/remix credits as Ad Vanz: a split 12" on Fat Cat and a remix on Spezialmaterial Comp#3.

Getting really excited about this show finally. I just realized recently that this is my 20th anniversary of first seeing them live, almost on the dot (August 1995, in London). They played with a giant rack of tons of gear and I only had the AeP at the time so I didn't recognize anything but I'm pretty sure "Second Bad Vilbel" was in the mix. There was almost nobody there. My mind was blown. Good memories. Since then I've seen them 6 more times but it's been 7 years since the last time. The drunken ranters were right about one thing as far as I know: the last tour in NA was the Quaristice tour which was in 2008 (unless there were one-offs which I missed?)

Anyway should be a great show from all the reports (i've been holding back on listening to anything from the NA tour though I have heard Krakow & other European gigs)! Enjoy it one and all! :)

the crazy thing about this is Cygnus (originally a huge AE fan who im sure wanted to taste a sounboard of Quaristice at some point) is probably getting to hear soundboards galore on this tour bus. Jealous as hell at Cygnus right now, and I probably should be more for him being such a good musician but im way more jealous of this

thats a shame JR, i'm sure it must have been really important and not nerves at being revealed in realed, potentially getting paparatzid by a drunken sweaty watmmr. ;-p

Soundboards? He may as well have all the patches on his laptop by now. So he could practice to stand in if one of them wants to have a drink at the bar or sumtink. ;D

From what it sounds like, most of this tour sounds like they're doing the same(ish) set each night. I would love a high quality soundboard, DC preferred but jesus anything will do. Can't stand to hear all those people talking. I swear to god if the venue was seedier I would have knocked someones teeth down their throat. I only get to see these guys like what, once a decade? They need to perform in concert halls and not bars.

Too punk rock for a concert hall IMO

I saw 0PN in a concert hall and it changed my view on how lame it sounds!

Unfortunately that lack of courtesy is at any venue these days. I went to see the xx years ago at the ACL Hall and two people behind me were on their phone texting while talking to each other about their friend drama and recent movies. It was surreal.

Very demanding

Here's my recording of philly. I have to apologize, as at one point around 23 minutes in or so, I handed my phone to my wife so I could go get more drinks, and she didn't realize I was recording and put it in her purse. It lasts about 2 minutes in and then returns to normal.
