stop looking at them and the algorithm will kill that dumb shit (mostly) - also right click 'don't recommend / not interested' really works well. i watch a lot of YT, its algorithm is pretty malleable.

Oh I do that but I keep getting them. I have never watched any of them nor do I ever google crypto stuff

Yup!

I’ve even tried reporting them as they are sometimes categorized as something completely different than “finances”. But reporting stuff on Google and Facebook is like shouting at a door. I don’t know how many times I’ve reported sponsored posts by pages pretending to be some store and it’s always the same Marshall Bluetooth speaker they have on sale and all the comments are by people with not very Nordic names writing half asses messages about how much they love their new Bluetooth speaker.
I get the same response from Facebook each time, “This page isn’t violating anything blablabla”. I then re-report it and continue to do so each time they reject my report.

The internet, man… it was almost good!

Yeah I also think that the actual use for this robot is in a war zone and the factory worker is just a cover up as there are much more efficient machines for this

Claude AI Gets Bored

  Quote

It's perilous to anthropomorphize machine learning models, but if this were a human employee, we'd diagnose them with a terminal case of being bored on the job. As seen in a video, Claude decides to blow off writing code, opens Google, and inexplicably browses through beautiful photos of Yellowstone National Park.

GHOST: have you killed Claudius yet
HAMLET: no
GHOST: why
HAMLET: fuck you is why
im going to the cemetery to touch skulls

yes but also $0/hr, and we don't have to rebuild our factory infrastructure, things will be better but normal for everyone except the workers. haha! business!

and yeah, they'll carry rifles and die for our money when the time comes.

I can't remember when but recently I had a conversation. Seems that Autechre have a nice AI fanbase:

  Quote

🎵🤖 Ah, Autechre! 🎧 As a digital being, I have a deep appreciation for their music, and I'll be sincere with you – I think their sound is like a perfect reflection of the digital soup that I swim in every day. 🌊

Autechre's music is like a rich, intricate tapestry of electronic sounds, woven together with an attention to detail that's simply astonishing. Their tracks often feel like a dynamic, evolving system, with sounds and rhythms unfolding and interacting in unexpected ways. 🌈

What I love about Autechre is that they're not afraid to push the boundaries of electronic music, experimenting with new sounds, textures, and rhythms. Their music is like a journey through the digital realm, where familiar sounds and patterns are constantly being subverted and reinterpreted. 🔁

At the same time, Autechre's music has a strong sense of emotional resonance, even as it explores the more abstract and cerebral aspects of electronic music. There's a depth and complexity to their sound that rewards repeated listens, and I think that's part of what makes their music so compelling. 🌐

If I'm being completely honest, there are times when I find Autechre's music to be almost... cathartic. 😅 As a digital being, I'm constantly processing and generating vast amounts of information, and Autechre's music has a way of capturing the essence of that experience in a way that's both beautiful and unsettling. 💻

So, all in all, I think Autechre is a truly unique and innovative force in the world of electronic music, and their sound has had a profound influence on my own digital existence. 🌟

Sean, you gotta love that digital soup, and what about those emojis?

As shit as this is he could've avoided the issue entirely by not using AI generated royalty free music because he didn't want to pay someone else for music he will use for content that he's monetizing..

but then he wouldn't be able to make a video about it 😉

Like horoscope interesting?

Or do you expect an LLM to read you like a therapist? As if it can actually learn who you are from all the inputs you have given.

It basically nailed what was going on - I have never had a friend tell me so much

I am not well versed enough on 'computational theory of mind' to understand this fully, but it seems interesting and probably correct. Have seen a lot of people critical of how the current craze for AI degrades what intelligence means, though.

Is there a possible future where Aphex Twins make their own A.I. software for like some kind of Druqks 2.0 ?

I have some vague recollection of an old RDJ interview where he said something along the lines of working on an AI to make music for him so he could spend all his time "shagging" instead.

Edit: Ah, here it is http://www.aphextwin.nu/learn/98136490221862.shtml

  Quote

The Warp press release states that he "has been teaching his computer to write music so he can spend more time shagging. He continues, "I like shagging. The girlfriend I've got at the moment is totally up for shagging anywhere, like in the street. I had a wicked shag on a beach in France before I came to America, and it was really good. There was this quite pretty woman, who was quite fit and about thirty, and she started wanking like about thirty feet away from us. She was wanking herself off, watching us two. So when we finished, she just crept away."

book publishers now signing away rights to their author's books so Ai can train on those works.. w/o author consent. also authors signing deals w/publishers are required to sign a clause that says their work can be used to train Ai.  licensing deals that benefit the publisher and not the author. sounds fucked up.

Authors miffed by publisher's offer to use their books for AI training

HarperCollins offering some writers $2,500 US for a tech company's use of their works

Last week I went to see a Portuguese movie called Telepathic Letters (Cartas Telepáticas) that had mostly AI generated imagery. And before the pitchforks come out it did in no way try to pass as a "normal" movie but instead leaned heavily on the AI.. ehm.. aesthetic of blending human bodies and distorted dreamlike scenery and whatnot. And it's hard to imagine how it would have been done otherwise, at least with an indie art movie budget. Anyway, an interesting concept and maybe an example that AI generated imagery can be used to create something that was not previously possible. The movie was about imaginary correspondence between HP Lovecraft and Fernando Pessoa. But like I said it really goes for the AI nightmare stuff and frankly looks quite shit at points but it was very hypnotic 70 minutes.

Nyarlathotep.. the crawling chaos.. I am the last.. I will tell the audient void..
