I think powdered wigs and ruffly neck blouses hurt classical music in the same way big hair and spandex hurt a lot of 80's metal.

no doubt the grunge & flannel scene killed 80's metal. no clue what the grunge equivalent was back in the heyday of classical. did they have distortion pedals back then?

Romantic music was the grunge of classical music.  This is not obscure knowledge.

When spoken out loud, is it Mario "Brothers" or Mario "Bros" (as in broskis)?  I have an important dinner party with a potential client (same night as my son's bassoon octet recital no less) and want to avoid any faux pas since it might come up in conversation.

some people really suck at emailing, I mean really suck. I've done a lot of emailing over the course of my career, and so know a good one from a bad one. "how to write an email 101" should be taught at all higher learning institutions. so many people fail miserably at this mundane activity.

Thanks for posting this Amazing performance:) I'm now on a Pinchas Zukerman kick.

Hadn't heard of him or the Kreutzer Sonata.

From what I read, it should be renamed the Bridgetower Sonata. I've gone on to watch the awesome

and the almost three hour masterclass

Crockett's outfit in this pic gets funnier the longer I look. Loafers without socks are really the cherry on top.

I think "No, I'm Iron Man" may be my favourite song title.  (Off Butthole Surfers' album, Piouhgd.)  Also, Hairway to Steven is the best album title (same band)... and that was before this hipster trend of naming your band Com Truise etc.

For any of the undergrad programs at my uni “digitally mediated communication” is a required 1st or 2nd year course. (Covers email obvs). Which is nice! Not sure if it’s required at other public universities up here.

definitely agree with you it should be required, even taught in high school tbh. Whether or not you pursue post secondary, you’ll likely have to email for work at many points in your life lol. It’s basically a life skill at this point.

Who wears a fucking trench coat in Southern Florida?

Positive Metal Attitude

Better question might be: who in Florida wears a trench coat of human skin - because you know there's at least one of them.  It's Florida after all.

I probably have some glaring social awkwardness/defect that I'm struggling to pinpoint but is obvious to everybody else. That or I'm just imagining things.

There appears to be a real problem with bots trying to pirate free music they discover on blogs.  But if they're sophisticated enough to seek out music, surely they can figure out how to tick off the "not a bot" option.  Perhaps the greater problem is that they are just too honest for this sick world.  Bots just wanna listen to their tunes and be real.  Why can't the humans just accept that?
