I used to get periodically get this guy professing his love to me via text over the course of a year or so.  It was clearly a wrong number, but for some reason he kept forgetting maybe once every three months.  I got about 4 or 5 of these in total.  Every time I'd be like "thank you, but this is still the wrong number."  I was growing rather fond of him, and was almost ready to reciprocate his affections, but then he just stopped texting me.

got this email from my kids teacher (I substituted dashes for my kids name), and immediately cracked up laughing:

I wanted to inform you of an incident today while the students were on the carpet waiting for dismissal. Another student said that --- said "suck big butt", then this student repeated it to another student. I talked to --- and he said that he only said the word "butt" because his was itching, he said he doesn't know why he said it out loud. --- is such a good kid I just wanted to bring this to your attention. All students involved were reminded of appropriate talk at school.

Grainy  videos/film from 80s New York is my favourite aesthetic. It just makes me super nostalgic for something I never got to experience. Fuzzy warm feelings all over, even though more times than not it's about crime and seedy stuff.

provided the internet is still up in like 150-200 years, researchers are probably going to scour internet forums to see how we spoke in the 1990s-2020s because language will have evolved so much as it always does and there will be so many forum posts, youtube videos, social media comments etc. in a completely different language from a bygone era
