Russia is now bombing Ukraine

That’s all well and good, but if you want to remove the state of oppression lucid dreaming or other avenues that exist solely in the state of one own’s mind will not achieve such a goal. Thus the state of oppression will remain constant.

I wonder if neuralink implants (or the future equivalent) could be used even to influence the dream state.

this "russian agent" narrative was tired back in trump's first term, and even more useless in his second.  this idea that republicans are going to "realize" anything they don't already know is even more naive.  too late for what?  they put him in office along with the rest of the american owning class.  they want him there

hi. many people here recognize that you are a propagandist. i invite you to suck my ass

to the couple people that liked that post, sorry you're "tired" of the "narrative" that trump is in putin's pocket.

I'm sorry if this seems rude but this is a very sheltered perspective - ask North Koreans, Russians, or Chinese how they feel about speaking out against their government.

It's by no means "constant" but the atmosphere in Russia absolutely can get dangerous. I made another escapee friend recently, programmer desk jockey type from a midrange Russian city who snuck out via Kazakhstan with his family, showed up in St Catharines of all places. Told me about when he had "The Talk" with his tweenage kids a few years ago - sat them down and explained exactly what you can and can't say to people in public, incase someone is listening. Absolutely heartbreaking.

Then imagine having that talk when you might be worried that your own kids might report on you, or just let something slip about you.

that is the first part of 'the deal' - the mineral deal, at least the details that came out so far, is being proposed as a way for America to keep a real and large economic presence in the country that would be part of a larger security deal, backed by European countries, to cease hostilities and prevent them from happening in the future. Again, lots of things to be skeptical about here and nothing is finalized, but the point of all this from trump perspective is to get the stakeholders at a table together to see if a deal can be made. By the way, Zelensky still said he supports the mineral deal after that conference with trump, so that indicates that Ukraine is still receptive to this component of the deal.

This "mineral deal" is the weirdest shit ever. Don't know if it's just a general symptom of abysmal mining sector reporting across the board (remember that almost totally made up Chinese mega gold deposit they supposedly found a few months ago?) or if it's something deliberate and more sinister that's being cooked up. It's telling that none of these thousands of articles on the topic ever name the deposits, specify the owners, their development stage, etc.

Ukraine has a nice manganese thing going in Kryvyi Rih (most mines and projects already owned by international groups including ArcelorMittal). There's a graphite mine (Aussie owned) and a couple of half decent exploration projects near Uman (some of the latter Uke owned, I met people from that exploration outfit at PDAC a couple of days ago). Little gold mine in Zakarpatia (owned by a Cyprus reg'd co and also the subject of a bloody weird conspiratard takeover attempt by some nutcase who calls himself the Duke of the Commonwealth). Couple of little titanium things with proven reserves I think. That's about it. The rest is all extremely speculative - promising, but speculative. Exploration targets (what Russians would call GKZ P2 or P3). People talk as if there are vast deposits of sparkly stuff just waiting to be dug up, in reality it's billions of expenditure in any currency you want to name, and decades of work, before anything is of demonstrated economic viability. This is all obvious to mineral resource geologists. Why is such utter gobshite pasted all over the news and apparently influencing political decisions of huge consequence? Is it ignorance or malice?

trump is big on getting something for using the military in a war or "police action" or whatever.. so he's going to talk about it endlessly. remember, for the gulf war he said it was a mistake "not to take the oil" and usa should've taken the oil.. so, he's doing that thing where he's trying to get something in return for support and seeing this as an opportunity to do that.. and talk about it and make him look smart to his followers by saying "it's a good deal. we're going to make a lot of money." etc.. so his followers will think this transactional nature of everything is the way the world should work.

look at the caliber of politicians that are involved with such decision making on the US side of the fence. the Trump and Elon show. narcissistic con men with emotional intelligence levels on par with kindergartners. it's tit for tat logic at work, nothing more. the US gave Ukraine all this aid, therefore it needs something back in return. something sparkly and shiny to make the chief con man happy. is it good decision making? details? pfft. those don't matter! as long as the maga king gets a perceived massive W out of it, that's all that counts. he needs to win the mineral deal so he can brag to the world via social media that he is the king of dealmaking and singlehandedly solved the Ukraine crisis all on one swoop.

I'm a propagandist for disagreeing with the MSNBC party line, and your fruitless hope that Trump is an anomaly which Republicans will "wake up" to?  Did they do it last term?  Did anything about his supposed Russian asset status change?
I by no means like Trump, but this line of argumentation is pointless, what are you hoping to accomplish spreading this false hope?
