Yeah nvm, I'm frustrated because I thought the overhype campaign for blackbox was bullshit, the SAWII wooden boxen are bullshit, the exclusive live vinyls and the scalping and gatekeeping they induce are bullshit, but now seem to reject this streaming first approach too. I guess I'm getting old and don't really agree with all the business choices being made around the Aphex brand. But I guess that in essence I'm just craving new Richard tunes to listen to and that's why a lot of things rub me the wrong way. So, with that said, I won't mention it again. It's nice to see so many people happy here and genuinely surprised that tunes like MADMA aren't generally know as classics by now.

Are people really complaining about this? These weren’t exactly accessible tunes, glad for everyone who has a carefully curated collection of Aphex tunes in vinyl flacc and a personalized YouTube channel but sometimes people just want to listen to uninterrupted music without having to jump through hoops. I know a lot of watmm folks aren’t overly impressed but there’s a shitload of people out there who are aphex fans but haven’t heard these tunes, or have the time to follow what he’s been selling exclusively at his shows for nearly the past decade.

Yeah man. It's a nice, cute, compilation to tidy up the bits and bobs that have put out, under the mainstream radar over the last few years. No need to throw toys out the pram over something so simple.

I prefer to own them digitally for a tenner in one fell swoop as opposed to pirating vinyl rips or selling a kidney to get them on vinyl. I haven't really cared to even hear them before this convenience release.

The cover image is bloody awful, can't even.

listening to this stuff righ now,  1 hour in and I love all the tracks so far.   

a good counterpoint to make a break from listening to the Ae livesets (one everyday day since release )

did not realised it was more than 2h of afx material first time. nice.    very old school ones in there. nice.

dunno man , you might be right,  I'm not very accurate about what's have been previously aviable somehow (apart form official releases + the whole soundcloud dump) so fro me it's nice to have this compiled

It'll obviously never happen, but wouldn't this be a lovely impetus for some sort of physical release of the bonus tracks. 03.06.17 is already one of my fave things he's put out, but the real meat's in yr phase out +3s and yr MADMAs, and oh, to have those on wax...
