Hello Everything was so bad...

Hello Everything is fun enough. Not excellent like Ultravisitor was, but still fun. Could've used some trimming, though; around Cronecker King the album gets really boring until The Modern Bass Guitar picks up the slack.

also, Battles-hating is ghey

The focus on the melodies was the right move. He's already proven himself with the D&B beat-fucking. While I'd love to hear a marriage of this stuff with the Go Plastic stuff, I'm glad he didn't use the fancy beatwork as a crutch this time around. The chord progressions throughout the whole album are gorgeous and far better than ever before in my opinion. He's progressed a lot as a musician.

How many copies of each release did you/are you buying? Did you buy all of the digital tracks yet?

Tell me how much money you've spent on all of it, the whole extras package and all how much it costs.

Then we'll see how ridiculous it truly is.

at least its not as bad as the $80 analord 10 binder scam.

I have been enjoying the album now for 3 weeks and love it. I am going to buy the Japanese version with all the extras :-)

In a way I am glad things in the electronic music leftfield dance area are slowing down I remember a time in the mid 90s when there were amazing releases every week, Orb, FSOL,Drum n Bass, Mo Wax,APhex, Autechre, Squarepusher, Vibert, Uziq, LFO, etc etc...now can spend my money on modular synthesizers :-)

if you feel cheated by a musician or record label then you'v just found yourself trapped by your own narrow perception of whats "correct" and im glad im not that fucking black and white, mate.

For me the album is totally infectious with all the squarepuher elements i like in place - meldy, good beats, crazy bass, driving pulsating momentum- as well as some newer moods.

i dont feel warp owes me anything either - move on.

oh and with the digital downloads and vacuum tracks AND the 2 new breezeblock tunes we got ourselves basically 2 new albums this year. fuckin toxic

Hmm, I really like what I've heard so far. I havn't bought it yet but I'm ordering today hopefully

Wtf is with all this moaning, it doesn't sound too bad... admittedly Warp does tend to rip people off a bit though.

you and me need to have a nice long chat little man

yup. this best i'd say since Selection Sixteen. this one shines all over and is more to my liking than Ultravisitor. this time the album is smooth and agreeable rather than some of the more abrasive stuff.

listening to this

I htink its one of his bests to date

having just listened to it once straight through, i was struck with the same thought. like all things, opinions are gonna be really scatter-shot.. few are the albums that win universal acclaim.

like Nelson's "After the Rain"
