no its not, its a vague regurgitation from a (i think) french music magazine that made a brief mention of a new aphex LP in 2007. Niether rephlex, aphex or warp have said a single thing about an upcoming Aphex release afaik.

as has already been mentioned many times in this thread - a warp records marketing executive said "aphex twin will be re-inventing music again in 2007"

Theres an email from Warp doing the rounds saying unofficially that AFX reads this forum and is disheartened with the amount of time the word's LOL and PWN appear, he sez this kind of thing should be left at the skatepark for the CKY and Metallica under 15 crew. He is also embaerresed that 30 year old men feel the need to post asking if its OK to get an erection at a titty bar. He is also upset at the amount of self referential kookiness and crypto humour which falls flat on its face time after time. He is watching all attempts to break the mould with wacky observations. This can be two things:

-the Dr. Evil sessions. AFX/Squarepusher colab. This was going to be released as music by squarepusher, for some reason unknown the plan was recalled and sp released hello everything.

-Advanced piano pieces.

The second is more likely. But probably the decision isn't made yet.

That Dr. Evil Sessions one sounds a bit shit. I'm not into collabs really and especially not if it involves Aphex. I only want to listen to aphex music by aphex...

Seems like if it is going to come out in the next few months (like rumors have said) then Warp would start putting out some info on it. (at least some kind of teaser to get people interested)

As much as I like Squarepusher and Aphex collabs this would be a let down, kind of a bit like a filler album even though it might not be.
