I'm like level 10 and I just saved Webwood from The Widow and fully upgraded my house.

The game is so soulless and watered down that you have no opinion about it ?

That will be an awesome setting.

I was more hoping for the french revolution. But this will do.

FYI: that entire site has hundreds of creepy short story/transcript type things based around a fictional company called The foundation, a lot of them remind me of x-files, its good to kill many hours.

I came across that site years ago, when it was just the first image of that 'thing' in the garage. I wouldn't recommend reading this site late at night listening to SAW II with the lights off...

dunno, i played this and walked down some stairs for what felt like 30 minutes straight until *something* finally happened, for about 5 secs, and then i was booted back out to windows. from what i've seen on youtube the same thing happens for everyone too?

Amnesia has changed the Horror Survival game Genre. The idea of not being able to defend yourself and the need to hide really adds something new. I imagine there will be a lot of shit scary games of the same ilk coming out in the future

Yeah that stairs game is clever and it made me jump but I find it hardly has any reply value. Plus my version looks nothing like the one on youtube. I'm fixing to upload a youtube video of me playing Syndicate to No Music, by Aleksi Perala. Pretty freaking sweet.

I'll take Aladdin on sega genesis/snes over Assassins Creed any day.

Yeah I was playing SCP-087-B on a 32" monitor, loud and in a dark room last night. I made it to about floor 30 or something and just turned it off. Fucking atmosphere was just too much, I haven't felt that tense playing a game since the original Silent Hill back in the day.

Might retry it if I can find my balls at some point.

Amnesia is amazing. My friends and I used to sit around in a darkened room playing such games, literally screaming like little school girls. Amnesia was the worst. Yet the best. SCP-087-B is clearly the next step. It just looks so incredibly horrifying.

ffs, has anyone here actually played spc-087? i love the idea with the stairs, but that's all there is, right? somebody tell me! i mean, you walk down some stairs and eventually something happens, and it lasts for no more than 5 seconds and then the game quits itself, right? it's basically an interactive screensaver.

or am i missing something? if not, i don't get the comparisons to amnesia, since amnesia is a proper game with actual gameplay.

SCP-087 and SCP-087-B are different.

B has corridors instead of stairs and yeah it's sort of an interactive screensaver if you're being cynical. But if you want a short, scary experience then give it a go. It doesn't end at a set point like the staircase one.

It's like a 5meg download or something.

The comparisons with Amnesia come from the first person gameplay where you can't fight your enemy and the game relies on suspense.

i wasn't trying to be cynical, it's a great concept for a game. one of my favourite parts of the entire silent hill series is in silent hill 2 when you walk down these long, seemingly never ending stairs, with the background ambience gradually getting louder and louder. that's how i remember it anyway. so yeah, i was just wondering if that's all there was or if i was missing something.

yeah but amnesia is all about actively hiding, and avoiding the monster guy etc. all you have to do in the scp games is hold the w-key for a couple of minutes.

Just finished playing Sonic Generations. I know the previous many Sonic games have gotten shitty reviews but omfg this one is amaaaazing! If you ever considered yourself a Sonic fan, then you owe it to your nostalgic side to play this fucking game. Sooooo good. Also there's music like this:

not all of the music is this good though, most of it is pretty good but there are a few cringey J-pop boy band songs which make me want to carve my skull open, thankfully you can replace the music in-game.
