Red Dead Redemption and Assassins Creed 2.

Assassins Creed 2 is producing some mad artifacts though. I need a new PS3 soon.

great Pitfall level, btw

Positive Metal Attitude

just beat mario galaxy 2. It was pretty fun, tho I think the first one was more satisfying. something about this one seemed a bit slight, like the majority of the levels were fairly short. tho I've still got a few to play thru for completion. yoshi fucking rules tho, and it's not like in nsmb where he's barely in it.

mount + blade warband has had death grip on me for the last week

Man I loved the original when it was still a work in progress like 7 years ago. I cant wait to try it as a polished multiplayer game. Is it awesome?

I've been absolutely curious about this game for years. Is it super dated or would it be fun to play today? I saw it on Good Old Games for like $6.00

I won't lie to you, even when it came out it wasn't a pretty game. But if you can look beyond that, it's an awesome game, and I recommend it to anyone who likes rpgs (not the Japanese kind though).

I'm playing The Ballad of Gay Tony and it seems like that fucking helicopter is impossible to control with the mouse and keyboard on the PC. I steal it, head on back towards the city and then it tells me to chase down some guys in boats. I'm spazzing out and in the drink in no time. The other open mission is impressing a woman with your dancing skills. Really missing being part of a biker gang.

I went back and played THPS1 + 2, beat them both in a total of like 10 hours. To be honest, I think they're the best in the entire series. Movement is much more solid and not crazy fast, and at that point they hadn't introduced revert, spine transfers, those trick "tweaks" you can do mid-grind or whatever by pressing button combinations, or alternate manual tricks (that moon-something one where you accelerate and it's obscenely useful, left right triangle or something), or even manuals in the first place in the case of THPS1. You can't rely on those to increase combo points, you have to actually go through and analyze the levels and find the right lines to use to get a lot of points (particularly in THPS1) and include variety in the tricks that you use. Not to mention the simplistic goals, which make the game easily understood and rewarding in a basic way where you know what you're working towards. They're the sort of game where you can just be bored and start playing and not get really involved in it, leave it running in the background and not be continuing a story every time you come back to it. I spent most of my time playing free skate as a kid.

I mean, I enjoyed 3 and 4 and the first Underground game, but 2 million point combos, a buggy nonlinear goal system, and drivable vehicles (?!) is pushing it a bit too far, though I liked the quirky nature of those games and I played the fuck out of THUG as a kid (especially online, the Playstation 2 was The Best). making parks, fuck me. all i ever wanted to do.

more developers should be humble and release just the first couple of games in a series (don't make silent hill 5 and really don't have another developer do it oh god well dont make any spinoff titles at least OH GOD), like harmonix did with frequency and amplitude. even if people are begging, it's like my bloody valentine. don't release an album that's not going to live up to loveless.

Apart from that ropey helicopter section, the rest of the game is immaculate. For the next one, if they can get convincing helicopters and a decent pool engine, itll be perfect. The jumping out of the helicopter bit is probably going to piss you off just as much.

I've probably played more THPS 2 than any other game ever. Metal Gear Solid 1 comes next or maybe modern warfare 2, but THPS2 I think I played through the campain at least once for every character. God damn, that shit.

It's awesome. The customization already on there is incredible. Really easy to pick up and fun to play.

Does have a few problems though with online play, takes forever to get people on and when they do its always 4 and never 12. Did an online tournament earlier too and won the first 4 races and came 2nd in the final stage and someone quit as I crossed the line and it disconnected the server, counted as a forfeit for me and lost me a shitload of XP. I'm hoping patches sort the online stuff as it's awesome aside.

My girlfriend just got us Modnation Racers, this shit is off the hizzook!
