Best track on Oversteps?

What is the best track in your opinion?

For me it St Epreo & Treale. Although the first like a little more

known(1)

Not a popular opinion I'm sure.

pt2ph8 is my favorite. Love this new cinematic direction.

I enjoy Oversteps as a Gesamtkunstwerk.

pt2ph8, qplay, or Treale. The whole sequence from pt2ph8 through to see on see and culminating in Treale is wonderful, actually, and os veix3 brings things down a notch beautifully.

I think I much prefer the first half of the album ( minus known(1) ) to the second. Anyone else feel differently?

ilanders would once have been my favorite, but it doesn't do as much for me anymore. Until the last section (when the extra parts come in and things get a bit more 'wet') the production feels too dry for me, especially compared with all the other tracks.

see on see is still my favourite, really hoping they play this live, perhaps with some percussion and beat fuckery. d-sho qub is superb too with lots of little details revealing themselves that I didn't notice on the leak. There's only one track that I think is average and that's krYlon. Great album.

I can't understand the pt2ph8 love around here.. I think it's average as hell... It's going to be another Pule for me I think.

Yeah, I really don't like pt2ph8 either. Really digging r ess and d-sho qub so far.

I still cant understand krYlon, sounds very average and almost out of place.

d sho qub is doing it for me.

d-sho qub for me as well. I love how the chorus is going pretty much the whole song if you listen closely and it gradually becomes more apparent as the song goes on. That eerie breakdown at the end is absolutely stunning. It reminds me of the scene in 2001 where they first dig up the monolith on the moon.

I didn't really like pt2ph8 or krYlon at first either but they sound a million times better in the wavs. The "synth bath" tracks are the ones that have benefited the most from the higher quality files for me.

'redfall' makes me angry. It promises to be one of the best tracks, but then ends up going nowhere. It has some funny distorted synth blast thing which feels like it has nothing to do with the rest of the track, though. Ha ha.

Os veix3 seems rather sublime.

I don`t know why, but this track is great, it makes me feel so paceful.

Edit: krYlon (this is actually a reference to when all the cylons got emo on BSG and not spray paint as previously thought) is the only track that drags me down a bit-- it just doesn't seem to add much beyond see and see, except to kind of recapitualte that sort of feel and give the album a bit of an arc.

Look, friend, I was trying to throw a little humor into the discussion by responding to a highbrow concept with lowbrow humor. I thought it was lowbrow enough that the joke would be obvious. I know what gesamtkunstwerk means, and I have no feelings one way or another for your mother. Perhaps you from an area where "your mom" jokes are uncommon, but they are hardly meant to be taken seriously.

Seriously, though, the album does work best as a whole/Gesamtkunstwerk. krYlon might actually be an indicator of that as its function really does seem to be one of recapitulation.
