Well I looked it up and you're all right. I thought this was some sort of prank.

I ripped this fucker straight from the Confield cd, wtf.

Oh gosh there are so many. Here's a few that spring to mind right now (in approximate chronological order):

Further at 2:37 - that key change

Nil at 4:38 - the gorgeous harmonica sound

Nuane from 5:11 to the end is constant awesome (actually, so is most of the album)

Tilapia 3:24-3:30, as well as the fadeout

The segue between Dial. and Cap.IV

LCC 5:00-5:12

Lots of bits on Oversteps that have already been mentioned

Also, one that sadly can't be reproduced by others AFAIK: I own a vinyl copy of EP7, and it skips at 28 seconds into Zeiss Contarex, just before it goes almost silent and then fades back in again. It keeps playing the noise just before the break until someone manually moves it on, at which point the track seems to start anew. It works so well I almost think it was intentional.

Key change? It sounds like a minor before and after 2:37 to me. What key do you think it changes into?

the 'see on see' chord at 1:10 and 1:24 is the best moment on Oversteps to me

Stop Look Listen

The chaos/tempo transition in the 2nd half. Also, its ending, a mystic beauty.

I think this was the first time someone really made use of deconstructive tempo variations. Maybe happened before, but Ae were the first big guys then.

oh yeah, that would have to be my favourite autechre 'b-side'. i love how they can turn a bouncy, fun track into something so sinister over the course of a few minutes.
