I think his show is fucking amazing. Not only is it funny, but the acting and the scenes are actually interesting in a arty film type of way.

I wasn't into that either. I think he tried a little too hard to come across as an open-minded centrist...it felt forced.

why's that? he's been to iraq for comedy benefits, why can't he relay those experiences through his show? i didn't watch that episode, mind you.

Watch it and you'll probably get why it wasn't a successful episode for some folks. It was a mixed bag, though. I didn't dislike it as much as Robbie. I was just unimpressed and a bit bored. It was transparently sentimental but without substance.

i don't really care for louis c.k. when he gets sanctimonious, which is something that happens occasionally in his stand up and fairly often on his show. he's funny, for sure, probably the best stand up working right now, but behind a lot of his self loathing i get the feeling he thinks rather highly of himself.
