totally, "bully" is most probably his best, if i had to pick a couple more favs it would be the episode about his depressed comedian friend and the masturbation episode as the most lolsome:

I loved the first episode. At first you think the girlfriend is over-reading him, and that he didn't want to break up with her. You thought he was just distracted about the thought of his car getting towed.

Then at the end, you realize she was spot on. And it was really powerful, but I (and I think lots of people) have a lot of trouble offending people, or dealing with detachment. That line about if he was going to cause another divorce for himself in the future, just because he wants her with him right now was very powerful.

The sign post was hilarious. Also the lying about the motorcycle accident.

i liked the episode with the duckling. cried at the end when he gave it to the afghan girl.

Yeah, good points Outlook. I know Louie has said that each episode stands on its own and that actors can change for parts and disappear without explanation. But, I never realized just how much most of these episodes could be considered incredible short films.

The Bully episode was fucking intensely raw and insanely well done for sure. Amazing.

I think the Afghanistan/duckling episode was probably my least favorite. It was cute though, in a sort of boring way.

are you talking about the episode where he follows that kid to long island or wherever after he gets embarrassed on his date? that was my favorite sequence in any episode of the show.

Ha, sorry for calling you Outlook, The Overlook, LoL at me not referencing a WATMM name correct yet again, I've seen all y'alls diuretic shit for ages, my mind keeps pretending that the internet is not real, yet it's the universe in which it most experiences.

Just started watching season 2 on Netflix tonight, pretty great so far... I love this show's ability to shift from being hilarious, to the surreal moments, to some that are actually pretty deep. I really wanna see his current comedy tour when it comes around here

Good episode! I like how Louie was just playing it straight in this one, letting his girlfriend character drive the story while he just sat back unsure of how to react. He lets her be the cynic, while he's actually playing the optimist for once (a confused, passive optimist doomed to comic failure).

i couldn't watch the scenes with the crazy girlfriend because she reminded me too much of myself, lolohgodno.

I haven't been reading much of the comments on Season 2 in order to avoid spoilers, but I just finished watching the one where Pamela goes to Paris, and the whole "Wave to me"/"Wait for me" thing had me literally facepalming, I was watching through my fingers like "damnit Louie"... Like I honestly felt bad for him.

so yeah, unable to locate louie i just watched shameless, hilarious and the live at whatever that was specials in one sitting and i don't think i ever laughed at something so disturbing and true. i liked that hilarious was really sad in a way. like he really meant it, deep inside. the switch from being marriet to being single in these (sadly i watched them backwards) was grim no matter how funny he was about it, though.
