also a Dilla beat, that one. glad to have the source come up; though I'm actually quite surprised the original timing is in 5/4. I thought it was more of a cut to loop it and get rid of some vocals.

killer break at 0:48 too.

that was actually in the first post but we didn't get a video

good lord, has this thread been going for two and a half years

The rap at the beginning of Belief File (0:30):

I'll tell you how to make yourself some pounds and pences, you've got to mess with the lower frequencies. The lower you go the more you show, you know. How to do it keep the frequencies low, see a beats made up part bass and treble you see the snare drum sitting in the middle, high hat and clap upon the top, the boys wait for the bass to drop.

and then SHUT THE FUCK waaab waaab waaab

Sampled from either one of these:

or

at 0:30

I don't know what's the original, they both came out in 1990.

Submitted them both to whosampled.com, maybe everyone should submit their finds there.

Я твой слуга, Я твой работник

a little bit of shuffling about suggests to me the Beats International one is the original. i can't find yet where the acapella stems from, but it probably came out on a single somewhere.

Just heard a very recognizable Vibert sample in a track by Barry Forgie, called Whispering Giant. Listen to it here (last 15 seconds, although the whole song is worth it)

On which Vibert track is this sampled though?

Nice one! That's Come On My Skeleton for sure!

I think that Whispering Giant sample is on Toomorrow, although I'm still too lazy to check which track exactly.

Sorry if said already, but on Batting for England, the guitar riff sample is Prince's Let's Go Crazy.
