I was stupid enough to trust the Globe and Mail's reporting but alas they seem to put a negative spin on them too, re that survey. I switched back to the good old BBC and they have reporters in there with the protesters, showing that they're really not nutters at all. Thank god for the BBC. there have been too many children born into egyptian families, which means that even with economic growth, there's never enough around too share between all the the akbar/inars. So perhaps before he creates a family that guy should sort his shit out first, rather than contributing to the poverty cycle.

one of the elements in those riots is frustration, men can't fulfill their islamic dream of creating a big ass family because they can't possibly maintain such a family, because there are no jobs for the higher educated. pulling mubarak off won't help it, maybe just some mental satisfaction, it's not something that can be fixed in a short period of time.

it kinda reminds me of the demographical problem of china, too many bachelors as a result of selective abortions..that's why the gov. doesn't mind prostitution and gaysex much, should propose the idea to egypt.
