perfect beer for spring in my opinion.

despite the terrible packaging it's actually quite delicious. rye ales have become a favorite of mine.

Nice. Where is that? Closest thing to that we have around here in CA is BevMo, which has a decent enough beer selection, but nowhere near that extensive. Lotso good wine and booze, though.

I don't think I've ever seen Magic Hat west of the Mississippi, either, so unless you're on the East Coast that place has some serious long arms.

Yeah man I wouldn't care at all about inflated prices if I could get a hold onto such a selection. It's part of the price (although, beer has an expiration date, I would be a little affraid of the slowliness a store like that turns around it's stock)

Got a place in Montreal like that nearby, I go there once 2-3 weeks (Depanneur Peluso)

About 5-6 times the shelves in the above pic ^^^^

Ommegang Hennepin is a pretty good non-Belgie Saison.

my local liquor store looks a lot like the above pics too, and if they don't have it, he will order anything he can for you. I'm going to look for this today. me and a few buds will enjoy a few cold ones around the grill at my post-rapture BBQ today.

One glass riesling, one glass champagne, two bottles Phoenix something or other, one bottle some other misc beer that I was given after the Phoenix supply ran out. And one cup of coffee, safeway select irish cream. I pay little mind to what brands I'm drinking, I just kind of drink and it usually works out well. For some reason no matter what else I drink, the champagne aftertaste is the one that remains. I would have thought the coffee would overpower it, but no. Champagne likes to make its presence known.

I'm lucky to live in Chicago; there's no shortage of well-stocked liquor stores. Great selection at the place just six blocks from my house! I will miss it when I leave town, but hopefully I'll be leaving cause I have a job ...

i am hot shit ... that smells like baking bread.

The people that live below me are throwing a summer solstice party next month complete with a bounce house.

So my roommate and I thought it would be a good idea to brew some beer specifically for the party. We have four batches fermenting/aging right now. An amber ale, an IPA, nut brown ale, and a strawberry blonde ale [a fruit beer].

That's about 20 gallons.

I wanted to take a picture, but they're in the closet, and there's no light.

Four batches, shit!!

I just brewed an oatmeal stout yesterday. What a long process. I didn't cool down my wort enough and had to get to bed so I finally just pitched the yeast at like 28 C and crossed my fingers ...
