i learned a similar lesson when ordering Pliny the Elder at a bar because i got all excited that a bar in my neighborhood actually had it stocked... tab came back and it was $11 a bottle.

Had a good few pours from a bottle of Knob Creek last night.

It's made by Jim Beam, but it's a really delicious and complex bourbon. I've even read that it's made from entirely the same mashbill, and the only real difference is the extra 20 proof and longer aging time... but if that's the case, those extra 5 years in the barrel really do make all the difference. Delicious whiskey.

Just got back from a holiday in Turkey yesterday and other than drinking a lot of shit Gin and Raki I was smashing the F S!

A ruddy nice lager actually. And at 5% it's not to be sniffed at.

Nah it's fairly decent stuff actually. I remember the big bottles used to be very cheap in Wetherspoons.

very mild as bourbon goes... but both tastier and cheaper than Jim Beam or Jack Daniel's. too bad it's so hard to find in this country.

Extremely hopsy beer. Not for me at all. A friend convinced me to go with it when we split on a 12 pack but I've had trouble downing every beer I've drank so far.
