I came up with a nice drink recently over the holidays. I call it rice milk, because it kind of reminds me of that.

8oz glass, two shots of yukon jack, fill to almost full with non-fat milk, then I used vanilla spiced rum creamer when I had it, but when I didn't I used nutmeg, cinnamon and madagascar vanilla extract, and just hazlenut or vanilla creamer.

It's kind of a lighter, easier to drink alternative to egg nog, which is kind of heavy. Has a nice taste of honey from the Yukon.

The have a really great brewery/restaurant down by San Diego; totally recommended if you ever find yourself in that area.

Double Bastard and Old Guardian are my favorites from Stone.

rogue dead guy ale is good.

this weekend it was me and some standard jack daniels whiskey.

Tiger beer is on offer for 2 months in the offo: 1e a bottle.

drank a half-bottle of jack this evening. for all its mainstream popularity, it does taste very good. now that's down i'm just drinking the remainder of the weekend's wine...

drank two old guardian barleywines yesterday - the 2011 belgo version brewed with belgian yeast. i wish i had this many more

I had a half of a bottle of a decent Sangiovese with dinner. the time for red wine is drawing to a close with the warm weather right around the corner. that's the only thing I'm going to miss about this godforsaken winter.
