Flux Mode allows the creation of sequenced synth parts that are not rigidly tied to the step grid, providing more musical versatility. The creation and morphing of edgy beats and stuttering rhythms has never been easier.

It just samples the control voltage from the ribbon. Cool for doing the above but probably not cool for this thing getting MIDI in a hurry.

Light, compact, and portable, monotribe is great on the go. Equipped with a built-in speaker and powered by six AA batteries, it is completely self-contained and ready to deliver hours of enjoyment wherever you take it.

OK they could totally have swapped out batteries and built in speakers for MIDI in and out/thru. Boo fucking hoo for the hipsters and 303 nostaligia heads that actually would have used it as an "on the go beat making machine"

Auto-Tuning Analog

Analog synthesizers of yesteryear were prone to drift in pitch. But no more! The monotribe?s auto-tuning circuitry provides stable chromatic playability, and will not go out of tune. This auto-tuning technology also means no warm-up time, no servicing for pitch calibration, no sensitivity to temperature changes - just the great sound of analog VCO.

aw man

I wish they did, but I'm convinced they'd sell a lot less units.

Some songs I made with my fingers and electronics. In the process of making some more. Hopefully.

seems like I was right about the sync jacks - they are audio line level inputs allowing you to easily sync with any audio source - you could even stick a mic into it and trigger patterns by beatboxing...

youtubes

lol

makes a lot more sense now, although it's easy to see that ribbon controller sucks for progamming of notes as opposed to "HEY I HAVE ANALOG SYNTH IN COFFE SHOP BEWBEBWBEEWEEWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWSSSTHHHHHHHHH"

*ahem*

anyway, i'll get one or 5 and "Sync" them up...see what happens. The snare is win.

i like the hats but the snare is a bit subtle... moar 808 snappy wld be cool but that is a complicated circuit IIRC

well if it had more than ONE output you could compress that beyotch

I do like the quantize & gate features from the other "tribes" that were included

i saw 199 euros somewhere and that is not good

yeah the snare on my jomox was a gayfest until i gave it its own mixer channel and then it was :emotawesomepm9:

eek! so that's like 285 USD, seems pricey for them to have stayed in this whole "cheap toy" like design and have no midi. Sure its all analog but they pwned all the other companies by putting out the monotron "all analog" for pennies. I mean 285 USD isn't much for a synth, but i'm just sayin. Not complaining just observing.

One thing I was wondering about is the sync feature. Presumably it's expecting a straight click sort of sync? What would happen if you used something irregular? Or even if you used psudeo-rhytmic synth sounds?

Any ideas?
