Sanded down some oak floor and furniture yesterday and now my whole flat stinks of Jack Daniels

Took me a couple of hours to figure out that burnt oak stinks of bourbon. Now i want some Jim Beam.

the ac in my building is broken, its 93 degrees F, i'm on the eleventh floor, and heat rises...

Call your landlord and have them fix it ASAP or prorate your rent enough so you can go buy a portable A/C. Pretty much cruel and unusual punishment to not have AC in Tay-hass.

should specify, it's where i work, so i have few rights. it's not so bad. i'm actually enjoying the heat. sometimes when i get in the car after walking far and i'm really sweaty, i turn up the heater just to really feel it

If she's a nice person it doesn't hurt to hang out. I dated a gorgeous 25 year old mother of a 3 year old once. She had tumultuous relationships beforehand and wasn't looking for a husband or father for her child - she just wanted to get out and have some fun a night or two a week with little to no strings attached. We broke it off after a while amicably and since then she's found a husband, which is awesome for her and her awesome lil' rug-rat. Had some great times with her and the one time we ended up having to be around her child (aka, not go out or back to my place) it was actually pretty fun, her daughter was very bright, sweet and well behaved.

 

I guess what I'm trying to say is that if she just wants to hang out, be respectful of the fact she is a mother, but don't let that stop you from making a connection with someone. Single moms are some of the most sexually aware women I've ever been with and if you're starting to hit your late 20's/early 30's and you're still expecting single women to not have a child or some form of baggage at that age - you should probably stick with 21-25 year old single girls.

in light of the recent Hersheys child labour kerfuffle, and what other dodgy business they're probably involved in, I'm not sure whether to eat this Hersheys bar I have, or ritualisticly burn it: though burning it will achieve nothing, and I don't exactly want to waste food. The bar has been produced, the harm is done, I'm gonna eat this Hersheys bar sometime today.

For the last 3 days straight, I've been digitizing my musical output from when I was a kid up until shortly after highschool... stacks of cassettes, unlabelled CDRs... some embarrassing, some pretty interesting... over 6 hours of material so far. My brain feels twitchy, and I'm struggling to make sense of my life. In a sense it's a FWS, but it's also unearthing some existential "what has it all meant?" bullshit. I listen back to some of it and feel proud of younger me, but also feel sorry/sad for that lonely little guy. Also, why the fuck didn't I ever label anything?

what's wrong with child labour ? many kids that go to high school here really should have gone out to work rather than learning to sit around and unlearn till they turn 18, totally unprepared for the workforce mentally and in a skills sense. And in a country that backward the work you go out and do to help support your 12 other siblings is picking cacao.

I have an essay to write about Dubliners by James Joyce, and I need five sources of other analyses on the novel. Unfortunately, the only sources I can find on Dubliners are massive, in-depth dissertations that are nearly as long as the novel itself. The essay is due on Tuesday.

well my first world problem is that I just farted. I'm alone so it shouldn't be a problem. But I still saw it as a problem.

My manky physical state bought about by night shifts.

On my 7th (and final) in a row atm and I'm constipated and have mouth ulcers.

Currently eating cherry tomatoes to avoid scurvy and make the most of the oral pain.
