Just checked out my Spokes vinyl for the first time since I bought it and the surface noise is immense. I got totally rinsed on this!

Installed a new lock on my mailbox for the new place, which came with a pair of keys.

Also spotted a total of three moose, six porcupines, and two black bears while at work today. It was sorta like a paid safari. The first black bear turned and looked at us as we slowed down to look, like "dafuq you lookin at?" and then slowly proceeded on his way into the woods.

I had what the doctor referred to as a "minor cardiovascular event" today.

My bp was 184/121.

Suddenly drinking a lot more, need to keep an eye on that shit.

If my GF didn't have so much education stuff tied up out here, I'd have bought some property in Southern Oregon and done my own thing by now. I hate making other people money when they don't even appreciate the work I've put in. It's really shitty when you start to see the side of your bosses where you know they really don't give a fuck about you.

I've been recording demo vocals of my voice doing melodies for certain songs intended for a female singer... and I think I enjoy singing like a chick better than singing in my actual voice. Just did a scratch for Gloomy Sunday (based on the Billie Holiday version), and performing and listening back to it is way to satisfying. I think I may have been born into the wrong gender. My avatar knows what's up.

Something is up with my record player and I don't know what the fuck it is and hope it hasn't fucked up any of the records I played. Worked fine for a while, then seemed to stop working.

Also brand new cartridge / stylus and it hasn't fixed it. Sort of angry / sad / confused.

Working on the sound design and music for an amazing short film. So far I've been really happy with the result. I'm almost done now so I watched the whole thing again (which I've done hundreds of times so far) and now I'm just not feeling it. The flow seems off. Urrghhhh...

Lots of promises and little being actually done. I haven't been paid for a month and am working pretty much for free and required to put in 40+ hours a week. After working with these people to make them heaps of money I've pretty much been cast aside as they work on their other projects and sell/move on from the ones I worked with. This month, I lost money by working this job -- that is not how things should work.

On the plus side, I have a second-round interview to do a different position in a different company that would pay very well. Hoping I get the spot so I can tell my current bosses to eat a cock... well probably not literally because I dislike burning bridges, but these new dudes and I really vibed and I'd imagine I'll get the spot.

I can relate (kind of).

Basically everything my company promised me to move to them was never delivered other than my base salary. I should have got it all in writing.

They had promised me paid overtime - made me work 10-12hrs a day for the first 3 months, didn't pay me a dime in overtime, and then claimed they had told me no paid overtime.

They promised me 3 weeks vacation when I pass my probation period - then claimed what they meant is that I start ACCRUING vacation time after my probation. Also claimed they only told me 2 weeks.

They promised me 9 personal days a year to use for anything I want - when I got in, even trying to book days off for appointments etc they'd try and fuck me around and make me work an overnight shift to "pay it back".

They promised me they would pay 100% of my tuition (my previous job paid 80%) - when I got in they said I'd have to sign an agreement to work with them 2 years after I graduate otherwise they would cease paying my tuition.

tl;dr/endrant: I know about getting fucked over and it sucks. Lesson I learned is to get everything, absolutely everything, in writing. I'm not sure if that would help your case, but yeah.

This, however, is good news. I hope that works out.

When you go out, don't burn any bridges but you should make it clear that you're leaving because they've not delivered on their promises. Let them know that's bs. Because it's fucking bs. Excuse my french.

Haha, yeah I totally get it. It's also a lot easier for some reason. More relaxing. I think when I impersonate a female singer I automatically use my diaphram properly just to make the right sound. I can do much longer phrases in one breath.

There's a shop down my local high street called Foodie Wuwdies and I don't want to go to prison for arson.

There used to be a convenience store where I lived called "Foodie Goodie". That's not quite as bad, but it still made me a little bit angry every time I saw the sign.

I have a mild headache, which is weird because I was telling a friend earlier that I almost never get headaches, and when I do they're barely noticeable.
