My hardcore band was asked to play a show next month and the booking agent hasn't booked anyone else for the show yet. It's less than a month away.

He keeps asking me for suggestions for other bands, which I keep giving him, but no on has confirmed yet. I'm getting the explicit feeling that he somehow expects us to set up the show, which is annoying since he literally has access to hundreds of bands.

He doesn't want us to contact them directly, he wants to contact them. I can't hustle and get this shit done with my legs tied

Find a band that wants to do it, then get them to email the booking agent asking if they happen to know any hardcore bands looking for an opener on that specific date.

200 degrees oven for a few minutes then lay flat.. 

just lay flat w/o packaging and it'll straighten

put it between two turntable platters like a sandwich.. wait.  i think i read something about wax paper and an iron. 

but there's probably some kind professional way to do it.

there's a tiny USB dongle that goes with my mouse/keyboard combo and when i was packing up I thought 'hm, this little thing magnetically attaches to the mouse but it might get lost, i should put it somewhere safe so i don't lose it whilst moving literally everything i own' but i forgot what i did after i had that thought and it's definitely not attached to the mouse so now i don't know if i actually lost it (gone) or if it's just hidden somewhere i thought would be 'safe'

He went on to say that he was thinking about contacting the production company I do freelance work. What? Stay the fuck away from my clients. This has been bothering me for weeks now.

I've been on vacation the last 9 days and now have to go back to training at the new job on a Wednesday... (new job's not so bad though)

IMO at least he had the balls to spell out his intentions openly. It's not like client poaching isn't a thing that happens all the time...
