he was probably being sarcastic. i got that. but, doesn't take away from the fact that elusive mostly only ever shows up when there's some free shit going around. notice how he wailed and threw his dummy out of the pram when JR took away the link and he couldn't get the files. also, you can't be sure he really ordered the EP, anyway. i wouldn't bet on it, as he seems like one of those proper file-collecting-leeching-types, what i can't stand!!, tbh. they should all be shot, imho.

i may have missed something, but why is everyone assuming skullsnap is a skam sublabel, as opposed to just an independent label gescom is releasing something on. As they've done with Clear, Source, OR, Fatcat...?

yeah, it's something for bleep to say that. but the fact that the label has been releasing stuff since '03 with no connection mentioned before says something else. perhaps they've always been mates, but it seems likely that the label was originally established independently, and this is a post-hoc rebranding venture. nothing wrong with that, it's just interesting. like skam decided to buy a struggling neighborhood patisserie and turn it around, because sean really loves their croissants.

if this is the case, did somebody incorrectly fuck up the Discogs skull snaps page? It says it's a sub label of skam, but just like Wikipedia discogs cain be edited by anyone

the Bleep description scared me into pre-ordering. I hope it's as limited as they're implying, since I usually don't like to make snap decisions like this.

I don't want to jump in on an argument but I will say that elusive has been very generous with sharing in the past for what it's worth. I will definitely vouch for that.

It's a vinyl only release? I actually do have an old player but I'm not sure it still works and I don't really see the advantages of the format other than it looks nicer and has bigger artwork ...

GESCOM usually do only come out on vinyl. out of the 14 releases under the GESCOM name, only 4 have had a CD pressing.

You're taking sales away from what will probably be a very small run and a niche release at best - if you expect artists to bother making and distributing more music like this, you have to give them the financial backing to be able to do so.
