I'm watching this 11.22.63 bollox on Hulu. I hated the novel and have never been a fan of SK, but here I sit. Happy President's Day innit.

Vinyl - not sure if this is going anywhere, basically coked up Italian record exec drives around New York and accidentally discovers every musical genre of the 1970s. The soundtrack is pretty good, but omits any of the proto hip hop they included in the show. And the kid from Doogie Howser aged BADLY, lol.

That shows looks really, really boring. They really picked the least interesting aspect of 1970s New York they could find.

Scorsese directed the 2 hour pilot, and yeah it's basically the 1970s segment of Good Fellas via the Record industry. But I had never heard of the building collapse, which actually happened.

Vinyl - better than expected, even with the lapels & Robert Plant's whimsy & accent.

You cant really capture the magic of music on film & who knows where it might meander.

The Peter Grant rant was proper funny doe.

it was for me. i couldn't stand it. the couldn't stand the main character and how he constantly was ogling the band mouth agape. also, they go to some briefing room in germany and- he's back to gawking with his mouth open again whilst delivering a painfully arrogant voice over about how great he is. turned it off and never watching it again

this is much better. it's not exactly perfect- and the "science" of the time travel isn't exactly clear (at least to me) but so far, so good. at least, i'll be tuning in again

Anyone seen Jordskott?

"They're about guns, lasers, robots with laser guns in space. Monsters from the future. Explosions. Sylvester Stallone doing a backflip on top of a spike while Robocop carries a ghost up a mountain. Bombs and swords and that... IDM is awesome."

last night's episode of the people vs oj was awesome. this is definitely one of the most entertaining shows on tv right now. favorite scene was when shapiro asks the dna specialist:

"can you use dna to show that the blood belongs to someone else?"

"no. that's impossible. the chances that two people can have the same dna is more than 1 in 10 billion"

"that's it. we're screwed!!"

also, sarah paulson is amazing in this

It's a mess.

Some songs I made with my fingers and electronics. In the process of making some more. Hopefully.

another good episode. i liked the improve of the juice wigging out in the bronco because that could have easily ruined the entire episode- yet it worked. travolta as shapiro is really freaky looking (can't get over that). and there's something quite not right about ross as kardashian (and that whole side of the cast). otherwise, this is great

Yeah, this is great. First episode was odd, thrown right in there, (not too familiar with OJ's story but knew the basics, he's a forgotten man in the Britain). Superb 2nd episode with these absurd characters adjusting to the fact OJ was cruising along the highway in the Bronco with the gun to his head and his bitch AC driving. Schwimmer and Travolta are excellent as the comedy lawyers with divided loyalties. Paulson is intimidating and scary as the DA banking her life on nailing him. Genius when it cut's to the guys in Pizza Hut making the pizza's, they've ran out of cheese and can't get enough delivery guys out.

Very impressed so far.

Season 1 was alright, but holy shit broads are flashing their tits for gorillas now.

really? damn

the expanse, absolutely awesome. i can forgive bits of crappy acting and cheesiness with a story this engaging. binge watched all ten episodes while getting srivi on my days off on thursday and friday, and then went out and bought novels 2,3 and 4 after work today.

just opened the second book and it appears a lot more happens in the first book than the first tv series, but fuck it. i hate waiting around for a good story.

Love is pretty good, the last one I watched (#7) was the best one so far. Best thing Apatow has done in years. Main downside to it is the fact that the two main characters are so unlikable, solely from watching US TV and movies one would get the impression that America is entirely populated with narcissistic assholes, I think the blame probably lies with the writers and actors though, I'm sure the rest of you are probably fine.

venture bros. is just incredible. watching it through from beginning as well as the new season and its so well conceived. if anyone here has not watched it.... jesus get on it now. seems like a show people on watmm would like... unlike girls or something

yeah this was pretty good. watched most of it whilst hungover yesterday. cool cameo of Mark Everett (Eels) in an episode.

is London Spy worth my time, or how about Archangel?

I watched the first episode of London Spy and the pace is GLACIAL. Maybe it's just a sign of my modern attention span but it was a slog to reach the end of the episode which, to be fair, ended on a much more exciting note. I haven't bothered to go back to it but it may pick up for the rest of the season.

Stoked to watch OA II. The movement thing never bothered me, anyone familiar with Druidic studies will recognize the importance of movement to get to higher planes.

oh yeah, I recognised that dude but couldn't put a name to the face. the andy dick cameo was less good.

just after posting the above I watched the following episode, where Mickey literally apologises for being a 'narcissistic asshole' lol. maybe it's more of an LA thing as well, the show is probably trying to make a deliberate comment about something there.

the craft services guy was the best character, the aussie roommate was good too (the whole date episode with her was great).
