What TV series are you watching at moment?

Finished Fargo Season 3. This might be my favorite tv series of all time, or at least up there with Twin Peaks.

dunno if this has gotten any exposure overseas or in UK or whatevs, but that first season of Babylon Berlin was surprisingly good.

 

 

I usually don’t watch German series but yeh this one was expensive and looks like it’s made for an international audience and it succeeded, can totally hold its own. It’s like noir/detective/conspiracy stuff in olde Berlin with Russians & Nazis & drugs & porn and whathaveyou.

 

probably best to watch it in German with subs probably.

^yeah, most German films and series are shit but this one looks alright, freshly started watching it

Watched the first season of Channel Zero. Surprisingly entertaining the whole time, I honestly didn’t think SyFy had it in them to still make decent quality work.

2nd Season is tops. 3rd season is pretty good too, but that 2nd season.  .  .  whoof, too good. . .

The last one was pretty deece. Butchers block or something...The new one starts late October.

Yeah, after bailing on AHS I got wary of TV horror and this was such a breath of fresh air. I really like that they take the core of the original concept and build it out quite a bit.

Going to start it tonight after class, this post has me hyped.

I've seen it all. I like the vibe in this show, but they never quite succeed in pulling off a whole season, the first couple of episodes get me hooked every time, but it always devolves into something a bit too silly and overly long, even at only six episodes. Oh well. It has its moments.

Update: I like season 2 conceptually a lot more (and John Carroll Lynch is phenomenal as always) but I thought the execution and atmosphere of season 1 was better. But maybe that’s also a symptom of season 2’s overall claustrophobia - I’m a big fan of world-building and outside the main cast there’s almost none of that in season 2.

 

Anyway, that sounds pretty harsh for a show I devoured in 2 nights. This is one of my new favorite programs. Can’t wait to watch season 3 and then follow along with 4 on the 26th.

Actually, I think they released season 4 online or something already. Read something yesterday...haven't looked into it yet.

Oh, nah, seems reasonable - 2nd season is very slow moving (I really enjoyed it, but I suspect if I had watched weekly or whatever it would have dragged). In terms of world building:

Looks like they released EP1, then will do the whole shebang on October 26 - nice that they're going to release them all at once

Nice! Now I have two shows to blitz through on the 26th (yes I’m obviously going to watch the new Sabrina show).

 

I think I would have liked s2 more if I had blown through it in an afternoon instead of across 2 nights. The mounting sense of tension was lessened by sleeping/going to class. Whoops.

Ha! Yeah, looking forward to Sabrina too - like that all these horror/supernatural shows are dropping this month. Perfect Halloween binge fodder.

It's awesome. One of the best shows I've seen in recent years and I can't wait for another season.

It is a better than average year for October fodder, just no Stranger Things. Maybe a break is good, gives other shows and movies a chance to shine. The Apostle looks great.

 

Netflix Is lowering the bar man, just empty half baked crap. I like the nature shows, tho

Really enjoying this. Dark humor /light drama. It's very understated, more intriguing than most "trippy" or "surreal" shows I've seen while still being a very mellow, likeable, and pleasant show.
