What TV series are you watching at moment?

Travels With My Father Season 2 (Jack Whitehall) (Netflix) was pretty good if not more of the same

The Durrells in Corfu (PBS Masterpiece series) Season 3 is good as well

I usually don’t watch German series but yeh this one was expensive and looks like it’s made for an international audience and it succeeded, can totally hold its own. It’s like noir/detective/conspiracy stuff in olde Berlin with Russians & Nazis & drugs & porn and whathaveyou.

It's awesome. One of the best shows I've seen in recent years and I can't wait for another season.

Only recently caught up on this and yeah gotta say it comes surprisingly close to living up to the hype.

Cinematography, music, athmosphere, style in general are tight af alright. Performances are solid all around, just some dialogue feels strangely "stagey", mostly in scenes involving Rath, dunno. His expressions n shit are good it's just the delivery, pronounciation seems overty distinguished sometimes... I guess it's supposed to reflect the times and his character but most others pull it off less exertedly imo. Guess it's not as apparent if german's not your nl tho. Those war memories are some intense shit. Fries owns. Kinda funny how Benesch is her White Ribbon character all over again (great flick).

Just started episode 8 and so far it's only getting better.

Finished Patriot S1 last night, was really excellent. Nicely timed for S2 coming out next month, I watched the preview of that though and it looks like the plot starts getting increasingly ridiculous, not sure whether that'll be a good thing or bad...

A Dangerous Dynasty - BBC doc on Syria's Assad clan & recent history.

Not quite sure the subject focus is anywhere near tight enough, or critical enough, in terms of international relations. Mrs Assad Jr always gets the interpretative deferment pass, that because "she was a Londoner, she was, cough splutter, civilized", when anyone marrying into a middle-eastern ruling dynasty must surely have a whiff of the Lady Macbeth about them.

She smiles a lot for a tyrant's wife too.

Did anyone see the 2 part special of Michael Palin visiting North Korea. Highly recommended, an all around great guy who still did try and weevil as much as he could out of his "watchers", and you could see how it made them squirm. It was great to see some of the fantastic places in that country, including beautiful parts that should be seen much more.

Will piss you off but acting, camera, production etc. are good so it's enjoyable to watch

Finally finished Shameless US season 8, think I'm probly done as people keep quitting the show now.

Almost done with the last season of X-Files. Really only one or two good episodes IMO. Wot a shame.

shameless sucks. it's confused about what it should be.
