again, i don't really hate skrillex as much as i hate the people that think that sort of music has any sort of integrity. i try to be open minded, and a lot of the time i employ a "well, each to his/her own" attitude towards personal preferences such as music taste and who knows, maybe it is original in its own way, sorta like a drawing by an autistic kid.

I find Dark Steering excessive, inelegant and overblown and like he's trying hard to throw everything he has into one track to make it sound more exciting than it actually is, and even though I quite liked it on first listen, I don't think want to listen to it again. One of the things I like about electronic music is that it's very pure and not bogged down by heaviness. It's weightless, free of ego. You can kind of sink into like it's a bowl of water, and have a little swim, whereas this feels like it's a mutating black beachball that's squashing your face against all four corners of a room until you feel like you've had enough and just want to leave.

The Radio Versions are horrible "hrrible" compressed, i mean serious"hudsown mohawk" treatment. Truly a disgrace. Wait for the real deal.

2nite bro

It took me a few seconds before I realized that didn't say "Mar is Webster Hall"

also, calling it. This show's gonna be the Squarepusher Five Man Jug Band Experience. By that I mean it will be Squarepusher sitting in a lawn chair playing a washtub bass while alternating between blowing on a jug & honking on a harmonica. Also he'll be playing a banjo with his feet. Somewhere in the back a dog with sunglasses will be playing with a colourful bacon-scented ball that controls the most expernsive wall of modular synth gear on the Eastern Seaboard

Oh oh oh my lol :emotawesomepm9:

So I saw him in NYC earlier tonight. The new music is pretty aggro at times, and yet I have a feeling Skrillex fans might be confused by it. It really does sound like brostep meets Go Plastic mayhem. I liked it. The crowd was coldly denied an encore in true IDM fashion, and Falty DL's dj set was about 15 minutes longer than Squarepusher's set(!) but the light show turned out to be very very cool indeed and the Square-Bro-Pusher-Step actually kicked a substantial amount of ass.
