Sometimes the drums in those live clips sound a little bit like Autechre's Untilted. That of course, is a very good thing.

I'm liking the... I dunno what word I'm looking for... traditional? Classic? SP melodies, I know someone said it sounds like remixes... but... meh... this is one of those rare cases where I just think "if it ain't broke why fix it".

In summary: this will be awesome :)

fuck all you guys, I want another prog-fusion-vocoder-pop album, damnit!

Hey dude, I'm with u. Honestly, Shoba was a good side project. An expansion on the idea would be great. The Japan Benefit tracks were great! I thought we'd be hearing some of those. Anyway, hopefully he hasn't completely abandoned the idea. But this seems like the Squarepusher variation, on the Shobaleader sound... So perhaps he has :/

I think it's not wildly original but he is no longer at the forefront of modern electronic music so it's like eh. I enjoyed Energy Steering to some extent. It did not grab me but that sort of heavily stuffed music does not come over well in low quality and thus I cannot yet judge.

best tracks are energy wizard and the opener 4001. absolutely lovely track, very 'epic' but in a good way. some weird compression on this album.

meanwhile - the local maternity ward - nurse comes in with a great big sledgehammer

what? no.

i've heard the promo.

please don't tell me you got the fake torrent...

What do you mean fake torrent? It's amazing. Especially unreal square.

again, i don't really hate skrillex as much as i hate the people that think that sort of music has any sort of integrity. i try to be open minded, and a lot of the time i employ a "well, each to his/her own" attitude towards personal preferences such as music taste and who knows, maybe it is original in its own way, sorta like a drawing by an autistic kid.

lol me too. The first track surprised me, like not in a good way, and at the second track (a very silly one with terrible high pitched voice singing) I thought "ok good this is simply a fake". I think there also are two Die Antwoord tracks

his new stuff sounds excellent. i like the dark moody vibe. the head gear im not sure about. but i get the point. laptop djs are boring to watch. i agree tom
