Irregardless, I shouldnt take my dreams for granite, and know I should take theyre insults with a grain assault. I mean its Marrch after all, and for all insensitive purposes, my future is upmost importance to me, expesially since Im not that up in the high-arkey of sociality yet, y' know? I minus well just go."

hahaha, this is pure gold

This has to be fake. There are like 5 idioms that are written incorrectly.

I would guess that the post was intentionally written that way. I think "fake" is the wrong word, however.

There appear to be more than 5 mistakes. For shits and giggles, I will enumerate them.

1. 'parents do not like' ... transitive phrase missing target (x does not like y).

2. 'doggy dog world' ... never thought it could be mistaken in this way

3. 'diamond dozen' ... I literally laughed out loud

4. 'Irregardless' ... this mistake is annoying

5. 'take my dreams for granite' ... very common

6. 'theyre' ... sp.

7. 'grain assualt' ... also pretty funny

8. 'its' ... contraction should have apostrophe

9. 'Marrch' ... I've never seen that word misspelled before

10. 'insensitive purposes' ... I've seen students write 'intensive purposes', but this is a new low

11. 'upmost importance' ... ok

12. 'Im' ...

13. 'high-arkey' ... at this point, I kinda start to doubt the intentionality of the mistakes here

14. 'sociality' ... maybe I was wrong earlier

15. 'minus well go' ... nevermind, this person overplayed his hand here. That's obviously somebody trolling a grammar nerd.

The best I got today is:

Could we change our attitude,

we should not only see life differently,

but life itself would be different.

Also it's weird that so many people here didn't seem to get that the "doggy dog world" status was intended to be humorous by whoever posted it.

There seems to be an increasing amount of bullshit political quotes and propaganda on my facebook feed. I wish there was some way to filter it all out because it's all the fucking same and I don't care about any of it!

People who post serious photos of themselves looking artsy, people who post inspirational quotes, and look like they enjoy poetry. Fuck those people.

No wait, you know what... Fuck the people who "like" that shit.

I have a lot of international people on my friends list. I'm not offended by their beliefs; it just gets a little too ridiculous sometimes.

Yeah, I tend to get people I've played with in various electronic scenes adding me after meeting me once, and considering I post my music on my personal page more often than my actual artist page, I tend to accept most friend requests. I guess that's probably my problem right there. Maybe I should just make a filter that only shows my closer friends or something.

Yeah, i don't know either

This comes from the same guy who once posted about the 2012 hype "if even NASA is TRYING to DEBUNK it, it means we are ON to something!" or something like that.

And he also once posted about how he in all seriousness saw "a weird object flying in the sky while I was driving, if anyone has seen the same thing at thishourthisplace please msg me" but he deleted that one soon after

He also once posted a link to this shady "alternative" alien bullshit site to an article to these type of bullshit doctors who claimed to have cured cancer, and my fb friend said people should listen to these "REAL doctors"... that is something I really wanted to punch him in the face for. But he deleted that post so it seems, can't find it anymore. He seems to delete his stupid posts.

Nope, found one from 2011: "Read this and draw your own conclusions about 2012! Something is bound to happen... weeks without night????" and then he links to an article from "Niburu, you alternative news source" titled "There's Soon To Be A Second Sun Visible In The Sky"...

Yeah. Draw your own conclusions about him.

here's a new one from him:

  Quote

Unbelievable schoolchildren! This morning one drove a bike. Literally underneath my car....

yep, that's all the info he shared

:wtf:

you guys whinge about facebook as if its some group think seperate entity, not actually just your friends. get better friends, and your facebook shall improve.

You're right, too much complaining about dumb things. Which is why I posted a great status update from my feed here a page ago. I shall now post it again because watmm:

My Facebook feed pretty much consists of family members that never care about what I'm up to unless it offends them and about a dozen old acquaintances that I accepted friend requests out of politeness. As I don't have any friends IRL to add on there, hardly anything interesting turns up. Today was an exception.

"you, us, we are more than capable of things what thought and felt to be impossible,..now we are all im'possibles!"

I would probably remove this guy's statuses from my news feed because there are maybe a dozen like this one every couple days, but no one else is giving me much to contribute to this thread.

"if da world waz a girl id stik my dik in da ground an fuk da world"

This is so unabashedly dumb and tasteless that it kind of works for me. I'd "like" that.

Eminem lyric lol

does it mean he thinks the world is sexy?he likes big balls?

oh he hates woman and uses sex as a form of exploitative, degrading and violent way to make himself feel better (because life's so tough boohoo)?

:cerious:

he just should make a music video of him acting that out, i'd have a lot more respect for him. I think there was a part in the show the Life and Times of tim where Tim bet against his caddy on a golf course, his caddy lost and because of it he had to fuck the 8th hole naked. Really good episode, highly recommend it

So there's an acquaintance of mine on facebook who I befriended early on when I joined the site in college. He was a very devout Christian and aspiring singer-songwriter - that isn't exactly my crowd but he was nice, friendly, and in that sense a sincere Christian. I didn't know him that well though, had a few classes with him in high school and maybe worked on a class report together once. He was one of those "hey you're on this silly social media site too? let's be 'friends!' or whatever" friend adds. Well he tragically was the first person I knew in my high school to pass away - he and a friend were killed in a traffic accident. Every year he gets messages on his facebook page, which has literally stayed the same since 2006. It's surreal seeing it pop up in my feed. And honestly - I deleted a ton of people from my list who I really was never close to, and I've almost deleted his. Probably will soon. Anyone else have a similar "relic" facebook profile on their friend list. It's a strange thing to witness.
