If it's a trilogy, then it makes sense. Personally I don't find her ugly at all. Anyway, i think this is a compliment to any film nowadays, when there are "ugly" actors in cast. Then again, the whole critique of most blockbusters today consists of naming some superstar ugly. That girl from Twilight is a good example.

Trier wouldn't direct Basic Instinct the way it was. I don't see a point in being proud of your own fetishism, which isn't even your own one, but was given to you in mass production. Like yeah, i enjoy brushing my teeth with fancy toothpaste too, but i don't have much industry alternatives. I don't find Charlotte especially beautiful or bodily attractive, she's regular looking girl who i could be attracted to in real life if i like her invisible features. Don't see how it can be considered lucky. I don't rate primal instincts very high.

And she's not a full-time actress, as i know. Bjork wasn't an actress too. Means nothing.
