so how awkward did the super-imposed penetration look over the real actors? A friend of mine who saw it said they actually did a pretty seamless job on that, I'm still confused on how that could actually not look silly as fuck

Theres not much penetration, i think theres only one shot where an actors face was digitally added into a penetration shot and it was LaBeof's head in the background as the nymph mounted him cowgirl style. It's a 1 sec shot but it looks 100% real. The most graphic stuff is the whipping of Gainsbourg's asscheeks in Chapter 7. Not easy viewing.
