What Video Games Are You Currently Playing

But why?

Finally got into the PUBG hype. It's good fun. Managed to hit #8 in a solo game the other night. It's basically made to be played with friends though, always fantastic when you win a squad match.

It's not. Unless you can get it on a preorder discount (like Amazon), I wouldn't pay full price for it. The Wii U version's novelty wore off pretty quickly.

i'd say it's worth it. i haven't played the Switch version but the original had me hooked for a long time.

i wouldn't say it's a novelty game at all. it was actually a well made and original fighter and one of the funnest i've played to be honest. i'm annoyed that they never released the new fighters for Wii U though.

yeah my buddy bought me pubg. gotten top 10 a couple of times in solo and we won one game of squad (but we were basically decoys at the end and our two rando teammates saved the game for us who were clearly far more experienced).

getting a much better grip on the game tho. it's a lot of fun and would be really good with a dedicated squad i'm sure.

played a game with my bud and two randos last nite. made it really far. then in a scramble there was a bit of friendly fire and rando teammate killed me on purpose. my bud died but we decided to spectate the two remaining randos. they grab a jeep and accidentally plummet into the middle of the ocean and start getting killed by the shield. then these two chads just start screaming at each other calling each other ns. "you fuckin' n." "i'm not an n! i'll never be a n. you're an n." and on and on as if it was the worst possible insult one could comprehend. was pretty scary/sad

yeah I quickly turned off ingame voice, yikes

luckily, most of the people that've chatted have been real civil, good players trying to help/win. offering health when i didn't have any/mic "look up if you need a medkit" "got an extra 4x scope" etc. 

Divinity II on co-op is the bees knees

"drink that health potion in your inventory!"

-"man that's a jar of tomato soup!"

im up for divinity co-op. steam is ngpcock

although steam keeps installing an update that completely breaks my traktor sound card. its starting to infuriate me. the only way to fix it is to use windows 10 to return to an earlier backup point. 

Ruiner is great

that looks awesome. im starting to get to the unfortunate point where im never completely sure how brand new stuff will run on my aging system, a gtx770. 

I have a GTX770 as well and I reached that point a while ago. Deus Ex: Mankind Divided drops to like 10-20 fps in some parts of Prague.

I was salivating over the new Coffee Lake specs just yesterday but it's still a bit too soon for another build. need to squeeze more time out of this one.

Wolfenstein is also cool.

Well if it's any help, the GTX760 was faster than my GTX Titan (original Titan, not one of the twenty versions that have come along since then).

And my GTX Titan manages to play the game at 2560x1600 with everything at very high and at lovely nice framerates (definitely above 50 fps, haven't bothered actually checking).

damn, I just remembered - it wasn't the GTX760 that was faster than a Titan, it was the GTX780

was playing it for a couple of hours last night, only had to stop because it was 5am and I had to get some sleep for work.

Finished Mad Max, like Alien Isolation it's as enjoyable as the films.

Played the Switch port of the original Arcade Mario Bros at lunch, you have to relearn how to jump, i.e. must be traveling in either direction before you can jump.  That's how it was pre-SMB, also it has no online multiplayer, that would have kicked ass 

I'm absolutely terrible at Mario Bros ... never mastered the odd momentum mechanics.
