can you use this as a sort of vocoder since it has has audio in ?

no vocoder. you could ringmod, Frequency, and Amplitude mod your voice...Korg did make a vocoder from this series i think

I am quite disappointed at the midi implementation, why don't they add midi to the knobbbbbbbbbbbs, that will just make more possibilities

Actually I think leaving them off was smart. Not only to keep the price down but to avoid parameter zippering.

the one video I saw up at the korg site one guy was controlling the ms-20 with his guitar, so maybe you can use your voice. Can't get over how inexpensive they are offering this for. Hope they made a bunch.

thats the Pitch-CV converter.. detects pitch and converts to CV. Its finicky too. a flute is perfect(cause its close to a sine wave)

Korg are going to make so much money on this thing.

Some songs I made with my fingers and electronics. In the process of making some more. Hopefully.

first reports are in and say it feels cheap and easily broken like a toy

I could live with that.

Pretty sure I'm not going on tour playing keys for Ministry or anything.

Rearranging my priorities, fuck saving for a prophet 08', I already have enough for this... I want one of these and will be placing my order as soon as I can

the whole thing weighs about 2 pounds but the sound is monsterous

nah it weights like 4.8kg MiniBrute is 4

Maybe they re-used most of the chassis from the legacy usb controller? That build is more than good enough for my usage.

It IS cheap. Are we talking about the pots/knobs? Because if so, those are highly replaceable afaik. Maybe they are trying to make it easy to upgrade as a compromise for initial cost like they did with the Monotron and Monotribe.
