The best bit about it? I got it for free! Nintendo EU have been running a promotion where if you bought any three games from a selection of eight, you could get a digital copy of one for nowt. Fortunately AC was in there, even though it wasn't released for a month or two when the promotion began.

i want 2 play the xboxne one but unfortnuately i have privacy convertcerns regarding the security of the webcam privacy settings

Well, I preordered a PS4 from Amazon after they had so many preorders, they had to split them into two groups - "launch" and "standard" - the "standard" not having any launch-day guaranteed delivery. I added the new PS Eye, but I think I'm going to amend my preorder since Sony really has yet to do anything interesting with the Eye game-wise (I've owned a PS Eye since the PS2 days, and fall for buying one with every console, although the one for PS3 was pretty good for that small bit of time they actively supported the Move, which is now built into the DualShock 4 controllers).

I didn't bother with any games since I plan on having as many digital titles as possible. Now I just need to get a good 2TB+ HDD to swap out the stock PS4 HDD (which you can do just like on PS3, and still cannot on XBone).

I plan on getting (at least for now) Killzone 4 and Battlefield 4, The Witness, and whatever else interests me in the way of launch titles.

I bet Fez 2 will remain PC only, or possibly on PS4, which I would love. I've always wanted to play it, but not on a PC.

that's probably the last generation of consoles ever because there's a really big push on mobile going on. right now proper gaming laptops go for about 1500$, what reason will there be to have a computer and a console when/if the price drops down to something like 1-1.2k $ ?

Because most people prefer gaming on a console, and even the new generation is significantly cheaper than any gaming laptop.

Just from a cost/benefit aspect, gaming on a laptop seems to be a tremendous waste of money, not to mention you're limited somewhat by the screen size/resolution, and the fact that laptop components are more expensive than their desktop counterparts.

the point of laptop is that it's mobile, so you plug it into a tv with a controller of your choice when you feel like it just like you would with a console. so you get both a console and a rather powerful mobile pc for 1.5k. even with current prices it makes sense for people looking for a pc+monitor and a console.

In my experience, unless they've greatly upgraded the capabilities of the PS Eye camera, those demonstration videos NEVER look like what you experience in your own living room - typically the video is really grainy, tinted and under-lit unless you turn on bright lights, which I really don't like to do. We'll see.
