It'll be out in a week or so, and we still haven't got any previews for all the tracks.

What a load of poop.

Hmm this is quite nice.

As are his full and pouty lips...

All I'm sayin' is, I'd like to press those lips against my lips.

I meant my face lips you filthy bastards!
sure you did. *shakes head slowly*

his new music is, his old music was really fucking good, possibly one of the last truly good 'new' artists signed to warp imo. Now his music sounds to me more like full on Pitchfork-bait.

Some great moments but not mindblowing as Smash wich was really unique !

I also think Glow works better live with all the Star Trek gear.

Disappointed

Just listened. Won't buy. There ws one track, forget the name, that was quite appealing and "fresh". The rest just didn't really reach to me.

I like these album/ep streams that people are doing. So far I've managed to avoid paying good money this and the latest Mount Kimbie album. In return it made me get Jon Hopkins. Win win I think.

:doge: Jet fuel can't melt dank memes :doge:

Am I the only one that thinks that a lot of the tracks in this preview sound like shit, as in the bass is way too loud and muddy, whereas everything else is very nasal and metallic sounding? I guess it doesn't really matter because I didn't find much of interest musically in there. Big disappointment for me, this one. Maybe it'll grow on me.

Some songs I made with my fingers and electronics. In the process of making some more. Hopefully.

Hmm, a mixed bag- some of the tracks have a signature sound while others sound very reduced in approach. The problem is that I know Jacksons more wild side, and Smash was the perfect exception that blew me away from first listening off.

I have even collected his remix works in a homebrew version (hello Autechre) since they seem to invent the concept of Smash further. No wonder Warp made a CD with a mix by him collecting more unusual music from his archives.

This album will surely grow on me but it's hard not to judge on his damn fine debut.

It's okay. Some tracks are enjoyable, others annoy me a bit.

But... it isn't nearly as interesting as Smash. The tracks are mostly straight and a little repetitive. I hate the notion that reeling back in your creative tendencies makes for more "mature" music. It just makes things boring.

yes, and i have to admit that I'm continually surprised by a lot of people I used to consider pioneers sounding so ... 'expected' of how high production values electronic music has evolved post Skrillex and Deadmau5. The reason i listen to guys like Jackson and Amon Tobin is because I very much despise the saccharine mainstream 'slick' production methods that are becoming the standard in electronic music, but i found myself finding eerily similar vibes on Isam and this new Jackson album. very odd to me

It's probably an attempt to gain more exposure, and let's face it, make some bloody money!

Can't blame them really, even if it is slightly depressing. ISAM tour was fucking amazing though, maybe this new Jackson stuff translates better with his live show?
