World Cup 2014

Not impressed with France, I expected better from them.

Also... I'm probably the only non-French person in the world who supports them, since my own team is not in the tournament. But I like the French national team, they've produced some my of my all-time favorite players (Henry, Vieira, Zidane, Makélélé etc. etc. etc.)

France has plenty of quality, but can't beat the organization of zee Germans. Deschamps' first loss of his career in a World Cup match....?

Benzema not good enough unfortunately. I like this French side actually, a bit sad to see them go out in such a toothless manner.

Perfectly put. I agree on all counts.

I think that's just the definition of a good team. Made up of good players

In Formula 1 there are lots of circuits with apexes of the corners the drivers always want to reach. Motorsports are soo IDM.

Pray to god that neymar is injured

Neymar was useless anyway.

David Luiz is da man, he isn't as much cuntish as the rest of the team, I liked how he tried to cheer up crying Rodriguez after the match.

Brazil and Argentina were the least interesting of the South American sides in the last 16. Shame they're still around.

I thought Brazil played with a lot of attacking intent in the first half, only got to see brief bits of the second half, but seemed a fair result.

Thought James was gonna lose his shit on more than one occasion...supposedly he's off to Madrid...

Let's see what tomorrow has to offer, I think they'll be more entertaining than today's matches :)

Still liking Germany on this side of the bracket.

Jesus that's fucking horrible.

That ref was totally incompetent - he had no control over the match from the opening whistle.

broken vertibrae .. you know, and i probably shouldn't heed too much attention to this, but during the game I had this pretty vivid thought or pre-feeling or mind-fantasy where i imagined this scenario where Neymar did fall victim to a horrible injury along the lines of this.. and it happened! weird when it does.

anyway, so far it has been a very exciting world cup: some matches can be quite boring, but as the matches of yesterday have shown: the game isn't over till the last whistle has blown!!

The ref needed to get the cards out in the first half and stop the stupid fouls. 54 fouls in total and only 4 yellows is ridiculous.

i think it had something to do with more than half of the brasilian team having yellow cards
